Day 19: Brazil vs Mexico and Belgium vs Japan

I'd rather just take a look at this thread and make no comments, but it's incredible all this grudge against this Brazilian side. That's OK if you don't like how Brazil has been playing (although I'm very satisfied with their performances in the last two games) or even dislike Neymar's personality and diving (believe me... he's far from being beloved here) but trying to lump all the players with his actions doesn't make any sense.

By the way, let's see if Belgium will receive all this feeling of hatred in case they don't fulfill anyone's expectations against a team better prepared than Panamá and Tunisia like this Japanese side.

I never know whether I want Belgium to do well. On the one hand they speak my language, but on the other hand they’re not a country they’re just part France part Netherlands.

Meh.

People say that but the rough area of Belgium (the Burgundian Netherlands, Spanish Netherlands, Austrian Netherlands, Southern Netherlands...) has a pretty distinct cultural and political history going back much further than many countries with one language. Many of the great composers and painters of the late middle ages and early Renaissance are recognisably 'Belgian'.

The way Belgium have set their stall up outside the Japan box, this could be a bloodbath.

I would understand if Carasco is bad in defense but how can be this lost in attacking area

I think Neymar takes a lot of punishment. He's nowhere near as bad as Suarez when it comes to cuntery.

Lukaku should’ve gone down. Clear push in the back.

This formation creates so much space for Belgium, they’re not having the problems that the other big teams are having, although they do have KdB and Hazard

Carrasco's not getting any better in China it seems. He's playing pretty shit. Most moves break down when he gets the ball

Way off balance, no one would have scored that with that push in the back.
