Day 17: England vs Germany | Sweden vs Ukraine (Ro16 7&8)

Slightly better game than England Germany surprisingly. Ukraine really giving it a go

gruelling extra time and then 50-49 on penalties, please.

Isak’s decision making and patience/composure in the final third are very impressive for a young player

So, how many chances does Forsberg create? Seems to happen something every time he has the ball

Can’t be good if you have time to message ha ha!

What’s the atmosphere like? Looks and sounds good
Ha! Wanted to see if the mood on here at HT was different to the general mood at Wembley. 45,000 but it seemed like it was mostly full. I guess the top tiers had the most empty seats. Lower tiers where I was sitting was pretty much full. Cagey atmosphere until Jack Grealish came on. After that, Wembley was electric. That left hand side looked like scoring every time we went forward and won us the game. Muller missing was celebrated like a goal and there was an encore of Sweet Caroline at FT. So good to be back in near full crowds.

Atmosphere feels very meh this game
It's a half empty stadium. I suppose people in Glasgow are not big football fans.

On the other hand this game is breathe of fresh air compared to the earlier game, where one of the teams played with 7 defensive minded players and were scared to commit more than their 3 attackers forward for the majority of the game. And that's without taking in account how shite zi Germans were. Who in my opinion were lucky to get out of their group.

Only bad thing about Forsberg is he normally doesn’t play full matches.

Careful, you might prompt someone to create a thread asking if it's worth a shot selling Bruno to make room for Forsberg.

I think it’s pretty decent considering the size of the crowd and the fact that it’s Sweden and Ukraine playing in Scotland.
Yep and the COVID restrictions made it very difficult to travel to Scotland. Most fans are Swedes and Ukrainians living in England.

Ukraine making a bit of a mistake dropping into a deep 5 and giving Forsberg all this time to play, I feel.

Fecking hell Forsberg having himself a game.
