There are different ways to 'play well'. France played some eye-catching stuff yesterday but were shocking tactically. England showed spirit, teamwork, a good system, and noone had a bad game. That to me is a very good showing. It doesn't all have to be worldie stuff.

Get in England! Rode our luck at times but that is a very famous victory. So many good performances on the night, well done to Sterling, well done to Shaw and the defence. Also feel thrilled for Southgate, missed the penalty that knocked us out in 1996 and 25 years later has managed the team to our first knockout win over Germany since what feels like forever!
