Day 17: England vs Germany | Sweden vs Ukraine (Ro16 7&8)

In addition to making him not seem a junkie, hair also makes Pickford a better gk!

Looked an amazing save

Wonder though if it had gone in would people have questioned the keeper?

Has Kane had a shot on target this tournament?

Saw the same thing, but I'm English and biased, apparently.
Well I’m Scottish and definitely biased against you, for what it’s not worth.
Id say it was definitely a free kick, probably not much more than that. The Phillips challenge was a lot more controversial, and like I said earlier no different to Ampadu’s red
If it’s a free kick, it’s from the wee tug rather than the contact on the ground. Agree on Phillips though, was lucky.

Neither of these teams are very impressive

Sweden/Ukraine or Denmark/Czech have every chance to beat them

I expect this from England but Germany have been really bad too.

Had it paused for about 30 minutes so having to watch in superfast forward to get back to watching live. Was more enjoyable watching that way.

Germany will be gutted if Kane has to go off.

England fans aren’t happy unless they’re condemning the manager and half the team.

Yeah agreed, the shirt pulling was my thinking rather than the contact for the FK, though refs can vary a little on how much leeway they give with that.

Sterling is acting like Paul George and overdribbling way too much. Cut that shit in half and be direct with the ball, continue your run/movement, and be on the front foot.

Germany aren't helping by playing their back line so deep.

Awful game of football by two teams supposedly among the favourites to win the tournament.
