Day 11: England vs Panama, Japan vs Senegal and Poland vs Colombia

Trippier's range of passing for a full back is pretty impressive. Some of his passes a central midfielder would be proud of.

His dad is a massive United fan according to the Swedish commentators. Still watches us every single week apparently.
Cheeky bid?

A lack of quality, the best teams are meant to be playing in a World Cup, not absolutely no hopers like Panama

You'll never get growth in the sport with that. I'm not sure Panama has the level of growth in it than African and Asia have proven to have over the past 20 years, but if you don't give them the chance. You'll never truly know, small countries need this stage.

You can't just invite all of South America, and the top 20 Europeans teams while everyone has to qualify.

I dunno, it's a dead rubber that both will not really care about losing.

I don't think this will be the case. A win against a big team like Belgium would give England a nice confidence boost.

Don't rate Loftus-Cheek at all. Thought his contribution in the first game was overplayed.

You've not been listening to BBC commentators then. They're talking us up like we're playing one of the big sides.

Surely nobody takes the english media seriously. They'll be the first ones to stick the knife in when the tide turns.

Loftus cheek takes up alot of selfless positions and makes good runs. Better balance for the team than alli

Boo am expecting a pen every corner against these:lol:

I know it's a bit tongue in cheek, but I hate the #itscominghome bollocks because it's exactly the classic overhyping of our national team that makes us look silly.

That's fine, but they could at least appear with a positive attitude somehow, rather than acting like cnuts and babies. Both penalty situations, and a couple of others, were borderline embarrassing

England and Belgium really did get a dream draw. I fancy at least one of them to make the semis.
Especially the way the draws are lining up. Could have France, 2nd place Portugal/Spain, Argentina, 1st place belgium/england, Germany and Brazil all on the same side of the bracket. Of course, avoiding traditionally big teams isnt always a blessing, as teams like Croatia and Mexico have shown they're very good sides.
