Day 11: England vs Panama, Japan vs Senegal and Poland vs Colombia

That’s as perfect a Kane goal as you can get

Hilarious that the shot from RLC was tame, not going in. You can tell the players aren’t best pleased about that

As the Kane goal went in, a television set was ejected through the window at the Portuguese team hotel.

He's got that goalscorer's luck like Hernandez used to have for us

Lukaku can never get the better of Kane it’s incredibly annoying.

I know it's a bit tongue in cheek, but I hate the #itscominghome bollocks because it's exactly the classic overhyping of our national team that makes us look silly.
It's ironic more than sincere.

They fecking use the word 'believe' in the lyrics. That's what you say when you have blind faith in something based on scant evidence and wishful thinking. Very few are getting seriously carried away. It's mostly tongue in cheek, and always has been.

British sense of humour and all that.

Ball could bounce off Kane's arse and still land in the Panama goal.

Credit where's its' due, for that matter England should have put 5 past Tunisia as well if it wasn't for shoddy finishing.

How was that no offside?

Who gets the goal? If that hit a defender it would have been rlc's goal so why would kane get it

Panama just want to get off the pitch now.

This could be 8 like Germany Saudi in 2002 if England really want to do it.

Two penalties and a ball that whacks him and goes in. Great to score a hattrick but

England-Belgium is going to be really interesting. It could be an exciting scoring duel with the two best strikers in the tournament (I count Ronaldo as forward not striker) or it could be an absolute snooze bore draw as both sides are happy to finish 2nd.

Would actually get Welbeck on at this point. Would be amusing if he could actually be composed against Panama rather than scuffing his shots as usual when through on the keeper.

I really think England are in with a chance in this tournament. This is the best I've seen them in a tournament some 96.

How often are the best teams in the group stages the best teams in the final stages? Surely less than half.

Exactly. We England fans know we're not winning the WC, so let's just enjoy the moment!

Its definitely coming home btw
