David Moyes West Ham Manager | Gone (pedantic sod Sarni)

This is almost like having a new favorite team :D Even the pressers and West Ham fans are now entertaining to watch.

Imagine them going down on last day because of Moyes

Probably how the rest of the country felt when we appointed Moyes after Sir Alex.

6 months is kind of crazy though. I looked through the bbc article 3 times yesterday and couldn't see a mention of the contract but saw people posting here it was 6 months.

An employer can give a bad worker 6 months and if they don't prove themselves there's no harm done but this could take the club down. They say he's the right man but give him 6 months and fired Bilic.

I can already see Moyes not lasting and saying West Ham was a bad egg.

It will not be 6months. No manager even one as shit as he is would sign that contract.

If he wants to reignite his managerial career, he has to do things differently.

But it’s Moyes so no doubt he’ll be bringing the likes of Januzaj, Anichebe, Oveido and probably even Fellaini to West Ham.

Maybe a jobless manager would. At the end of season, the club would have an option to either extend his contract by 2-3 years or find a new manager. So Moyes could be happy that if he does a good job, he gets a 3 year contract or if he does not get the extension, at least he is not fired between his contract.

After the job he did at Sunderland I wouldn't want you predicting I was going to do well in a job. You are obviously a jinx.

Obviously because you either get it right all the time or wrong all the time...

Searching for the white text.

Is none. I would still put money on him doing well there.

"All the best teams have the best defences. We have to start from there, try and get a few clean sheets, find out whether three or four at the back is best for us with the players available, and get ourselves bedded down.

"I think we have enough good attacking players to cause teams problems and score goals. Let's see if we can find a way to stop conceding goals."

"We need the players to take responsibility as well. It can't always be the managers who are bad.

"The players have got to show they're good enough to play for the club, that they're big enough to play in this stadium and in front of a really passionate support."

Given that he has to face City, Chelsea, Arsenal x 2, Spurs before New year, not to forget Leicester and Watford, he is going to get lot of bedding time

Getting his excuses in early.....again.

This guy just doesn‘t stop delivering. Entertainment value 10/10.

Andy Carroll and David Moyes is a match made in heaven as long as Moyes doesn't start getting ideas of converting Carroll into a defensive midfielder.

Worth repeating, any of you who seriously feel sorry for this man - wise the feck up.

Wait, he is already blabbering about players taking responsibility? At Sunderland it took him at least three weeks.

To be fair, he did say he wants to change things from the way it were last time. Putting the excuses in, pretty early is one way to do it

David Moyes said:
"I started in Poland. I went to France. Everybody knows...it's well documented with my period in Russia. And it's only been my last job in Berlin where I feel as if it wasn't a good move and I didn't enjoy it and it didn't work out well."
See, if you change the names around, Moyesey is actually Hitler!* HITLER!

*Might not be true.

I do not think he should be a manager but he needs medical help. He is living in an alternate reality. He thinks his stints at Real Sociedad and United were successful stints. He now blames Sunderland for appointing him as Manager. FFS when he gets sacked by West Ham I wonder what tripe is he going to come up with?

How on earth could he have been ignorant of the historical & contemporary situation at Sunderland? 99% of fans were aware of it, never mind people whose livelihoods depend on the right career choices...

Yes David's a big believer in people taking responsibility for their actions. Other people that is as he never takes responsibility for his own failures.

Of course he knew but probably vastly overestimated his own abilities, he probably thought he would stroll in and make them another Everton.

The bullshit he's saying now is another side of his delusions. He seems to think everyone believes everything he says, for feck sake he basically said he thinks his stints at United and Sociedad were successful. I'm convinced he's had some sort of mental breakdown over the last few years, he seems to have completely disconnected from reality.

Maybe for some. I just don't even like reading about him anymore after how shite he was with us, I wish he'd go away completely

Can't believe this guy is a millionaire.

Football is mental.

He thinks West Ham is lucky that they have got a great Manager like him. Unfortunately most West Ham thinks he is lucky to be given that job and don't want him.

Biggest charlatan in the premier league. I feel for chicharito should gtfo of that shit show immediately

Over the coming days, you’re going to be hearing some crazy theories that Moyes has a good track record at rescuing and stabilising failing clubs. You’ll hear the wonders he worked at Everton on such a tight budget and how any manager would find it hard to manage Sunderland. The majority of these platitudes will come from Moyes himself.

He got that part right. That article sums up Moyes nicely he is an absolute charlatan who was a one hit wonder at Everton 10-15 years ago.

Jesus, he's not even set foot on the training ground and he's already insinuating in the media that the players are at fault, not the manager - PURE Moyesy, this. Laying his groundwork immediately and lining up his excuses ready for when he inevitably fails.

That's the big issue with him - he's resigned to failure before even beginning his career with a club, nowadays. That vibe rubs off on the squad and the inevitable happens. He reeks of negativity.

I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that he steadies the ship somewhat and gets them to midtable. However you know that if things do start going wrong that it'll snowball horribly, he is far too quick to slate his players in public and takes zero responsibility for his own failures.
