David Moyes Unemployed | European Champion

Jamie O Hara saying on talkSPORT if West Ham survive relegation by goal difference and win europa conference league it’s a “great” season for West Ham.

Absolutely right.
Absolutely not. It would be a relief and decent outcome given where they are but that’s certainly not regarded as a “great” season if that was your objective at the beginning of the season.

Just like Liverpool finishing 4th with no trophies isn’t a great season for them but would be a great outcome given the context.

I’m calling it now. West Ham are getting relegated with the best ever squad to go down. Their fixtures are tough!

Would be nice if we were the ones to make it official, hopefully Moyes is still in charge by then.

I don’t like the idea of going to West Ham needing crucial points for top 4. They always raise their game against us.

it would still go down in history books as "we had a shitty season in the league and barely avoided relegation, but we won European trophy" and winning any trophies is a very big thing at clubs like West Ham, never mind international ones. So if they win the Conference League it doesn't matter if they finish 17th or 14th, will be still a season with a trophy.

Last time they were relegated they had; Michael Carrick, David James, Joe Cole, Jermain Defoe, Trevor Sinclair, Glen Johnson, Paolo Di Canio, Les Ferdinand, and Freddie Kanoute

His days are clearly numbered. Might just make it to the weekend but if they are thumped by Fulham that may be it. More likely, is a few weeks' time: they can't expect to get anything from Arsenal but if they don't beat Bournemouth the week after that, he's out on his ear minutes after the final whistle.... if he's still there when the play us, watch them suddenly turn into a proper team!!

I would be delighted if he gets them relegated. It would be like a 2 for 1 offer.

Wonder how he will blame us for it.

West Ham at Fulham on Saturday, that will not be easy. Everybody from Palace down is a relegation battle. Now it is who has the bottle.

Nobody could ever do a better job at West Ham that he has done. He has done miracles with them, and has proven what David Moyes is about and what David Moyes is capable of. He has been magnificent.

Or at least he will think all of the above, you can almost guarantee.

You could just see them winning the Europa Conference League, as someone else suggested and barely staying up. Europa League football.

When he does get sacked and/or relegated I wonder if the we'll get the usual defence from some on here ''he was on a hiding to nothing there'', ''no manager could have did better'', ''players let him down''.

It's never Dave's fault of course.

I’m sure he will. There’s a minuscule group of his devoted fans who seem to somehow believe that David Moyes, if given appropriate amount of time, is a world class manager.

Well it's true, if you'd gave him another 100 years results may have improved.

He should have been given more time and money at United too. If he could get more Moyes players in, he would have turned out differently.

Yep personally I think West Ham should give him another 5 years. You never know he might turn it around.

For a club like west ham staying in the premier league and winning a trophy like that would be a great season.

Stay of execution for him

Would love for us to give them a hiding while he's still there

I don't understand the negative attitude towards him.

He seems like a decent guy who was promoted above his level of competence.

Also the first guy after Fergie was always going to struggle.

He's done a good job everywhere else.
