As I was saying in the summer, the two clubs exist in different galaxies at the moment, but you lot just don't want to accept the reality.
You have a weak squad, with De Gea being you prized asset, but you have to realize that a keeper is just that, a keeper. Paying 50 mil € for one is madness, at least for Real Madrid fans.
If we had a squad full of mediocre players and one of the best keepers in the world, I'd probably feel the same as you are feeling right now.....and I'd be just another deluded fan.

I know Madrid fans are very precious but the last two posts from @gaucho_10 are something else, even funnier if he thinks Courtois would cost any less than €50 million.

This mentality will never let us back where we want to be . We have one of the world's top squads . We let real madrid free pass to build that squad . now is our time to get what we want.

Yes what a shame that DDG had the respect and class to not publicaly force a transfer away from a club that has helped develop him into one of if not the worlds best keeper. How spineless of him. I love how you state that he would be booed the first time he made a mistake like it was a good thing, he has never been booed here. It's the showing class thing again, it works both ways you see.

If anyone thinks De Gea really didn't want to come he needs to have his head checked. All he had to do was say it out loud, but he didn't so it didn't happen. Woodward was an amateur when it comes to football transfers at the time, but he knew that the only way the fans will be able to live with losing De Gea was if the player clearly stated he want's to leave the club, but De Gea wanted to have his cake and eat it. That's what I mean when I call him spineless.

You seem to resent a player for not kicking up a fuss, about wanting to leave and forcing the club, that had a hand in making him the world class keeper he is today, and, more importantly, he is contracted to, to sell him to Real? You resent him because he showed some semblance of decency and class? I find this kind of attitude surprising. Yes it's true we don't rely on him as much as we used to, but he is by far our best player. The only one who is without doubt one of the top 2 or 3 in his position in the world. We have a couple of others who might reach that level but they still have alot to prove. I'll be gutted if he left.

What? No. We don't know the true reasons why the deal fell through, but the player had pushed for the move the whole summer, that much was clear for everyone. The only reason united were able to hold onto their position was because the euros were coming up. They knew the player would have re-signed with them if he ended up staying because he'd have lost the euros otherwise.
 
If I was Perez I'd just keep my €50m and get one of my techno gimps to photoshop his United shirt so it looks like a Madrid shirt. That's what really big clubs do.

You can see glimpses here of why the world loves Real Madrid. Their fans and even the club seem to have this attitude that everyone has to want to play for them. Yet, somehow, a lot of United fans seem to love Madrid because Madrid managed to take Ronaldo from us.

50 million EUROS for a world class player that literally saves his club numerous points per season and would do so for Madrid?

Well, our chances or winning trophies is greater with DDG. If he wants to go, and we get a good fee for him, he can be replaced but it will definitely set us back further in our quest to get back on top.
Who is available that is as good as DDG? I can't see Courtois coming to us from Chelsea. They'll win the league and will be back in CL with a strong team.

I don't want Navas simply because he did not want to come here during faxgate. He was fecking crying at the thought of playing for United under LVG. Could be different under Jose, who knows.

I hope DDG starts tomorrow. If he doesn't, this shit will spiral out of control.
