David De Gea

Give us the naming rights to The Bernabeu and The Ciudad Real Madrid.

Otherwise there will be fecking riots.

He is not for sale.

fecking shower of cnuts.

Perez said they are sticking with navas. This is tabloid made up crap.
The only way this happens at this point is if we get either bale or morata.

Wouldnt quite demand £150M, lets say £140 or Bale or Ronnie plus cash, basically get fecked

I'd take the player swap a step further...you picked the player you wanted from our squad, so we want the same right with respect to yours. Casemiro? Ascencio? Eye for an eye.

If Madrid wanted 90me for an unproven, unused substitute, we should ask for 300me for the best GK in the world. Or Bale and Ronaldo plus cash. Basically, get fecked.

Anyone else think a Ronaldo swap for De Gea could be on still? It's gone pretty quiet on Ronaldo, you would have expected some murmours of a new contract or something by now at least.

My thinking exactly, kind of just went cold too quickly on the Ronaldo front.
Woodward went under the radar with Lukaku, he could be doing the same here. I can only see a deal happening if Ronaldo is involved IMHO.

I've not read the tweets because I'm bored fecking shitless with them, if they want him he should be the most expensive transfer in the world, no less than £150m , if mbappe is valued above 130 then David should be way above him regardless of where they play, if you want the best in each position you're going to have to pay, especially as he's the best in the damn world.

Is Perez daft or something? How in his mental mind can he even consider bidding for De Gea after that €90m Morata saga?

Based on the Cafe's "evaluation" of De Gea, we'd happily accept a £200m offer for him.

Real can get fecked!! This isn't about how much we can get or who we can get as part of a deal, this is about making a stance that Uniteds best players aren't for sale at any price!! If we brand ourselves as being the biggest club in the world then we can't be seen to be caving in and selling our best players to another club.
If we aim to get back to the very top then we need to add to the world class players we already have, not take away from it.

Wouldn't sell DDG for any price.
He has another 2 years, 3 with the option.

Let's win our first league post SAF before we even entertain selling our best players.

It's WC year, DDG will be desperate to do well so no worries about him chucking a tantrum

Would be a good stance if he doesn't raise a fuss before then. Don't sell before WC either. Could be worth more depending on how Spain do. Although his compatriots will be in his ear more than ever during the WC. Then again, RM might see a shiny new keeper in the WC they must have.

I think there's a chance that we released this news in order to draw a bid from Real. I think Jose might look at De Gea as dispensable what with Romero's fine performance and a very promising youngster in Pereira and so might like to sacrifice De Gea to raise money for strengthening the attack maybe with a marquee signing.

If we wanted to strengthen the attack we could do so without selling one of our best players and probably the best keeper in the world.

Unless Madrid offer something ridiculous De Gea is going nowhere.

I cannot believe anyone would consider letting De Gea go. He is an essential part of the club going forward and is in the top goal keepers in the world. While Romero is also of a high quality, we would clearly be going backwards if we let him go. Both in on field quality and reputation

Would surprise me if we got more than 60m for DDG if/when he goes. Doesn't matter that he's top 3 in the world, in the end he's just a GK.

JUST A GOALKEEPER??? Attack wins games, Defense wins leagues. Goalkeepers are a vital part of this

Your okay refusing to sell a player that has his head elsewhere and is the last point of defense? I don't want us to sell him either and I'm not saying we should make it easy but he wants Madrid. If it wasn't for faxgate we wouldn't even be discussing this anymore. Why refuse to sell a player that wants to leave? If they want him they should have to pay our price not their evaluation.

I really hope United hold firm and don't give in. They don't need the money so the only thing I could imagine that will sway things is the player himself. If he throws a strop and demands a move, United might want to cash in rather than risk effecting the changing room and his performances.

If he does go, I'd feel ok with around 70m. Crazy considering the record was recently broken at £33m, but De Gea is special.

He's not going to leave and Madrid isn't going to move for him. The news today was us expecting another move from Madrid but doesn't mean they will actually move, just us taking precautions.

The fecking cheek on Perez! Going in for De Gea after they acted like pricks with Morata. Anything less than 100m pounds and I'll be highly pissed with the United board.

He's one of the world class players in our squad so there's really no amount of money that can replace him. Cash + Ronaldo is absolutely the only way I would consider letting him go. And I am being completely serious with that.

If an 18 year old rookie (Mbappe) with only half a season of top class performances behind him is valued at £130 million then a world class goalkeeper like DDG shoud be the same if not more.

See my very similar recent post in this thread.

Why a declining ronaldo? Sounds like a terrible deal. He won't be playing for much longer, whereas Madrid will have De Gea if such a deal were to happen for pretty much until he is done at the highest level. feck that, keep him. If we are the biggest club, let's act like it and keep our world class players and build on them not remove them and take two steps backwards.

And you are not wrong.

Don't want a player exchange. Money. lots of it. I dont know what agreement we had with De Gea when he signed his extension, but unless there was some figure set, we should play hardball.
No easy out for Madrid with them getting rid of a player they no longer want and getting his massive wages off their books..
They can keep bale with his 600k/week contract.

If they value Morata at 90m, De Gea should be more than that.

I have faith in Woody.

People are ridiculously overrating the fee we should be getting for him. He is a goalkeeper. No matter how good he is he won't fetch fees close to that of an attacking player. That said 50 million + Ronaldo and I'd say we're on

This is Real being stupid and putting out leaks that they are going to bid as they are hurt over the Morata deal. Such a crappy scummy club.

Slap a 150 million price tag on him and be done with it!

Makes absolutely zero sense. If we are interested in selling him, we will approach Madrid directly or through Mendes. You think Madrid reads all these English tabloids? Also nothing from BBC so you'd think this is all bs.

That's why he won't be sold.
