It was announced on sky and in the stadium tonight, it's a signed deal (well, singned June 1st.)

The stadium announcer stated it? Well, that's a bit more convincing then Sky. Sky can be as full of shit as their brothers in The Sun.

Sky announced it then it was confirmed 5/10 minutes later, it takes a while to write reports you know, especially when most journo's are working the game.

I don't give a feck what jounos say! I just care what the club says! It's not a confirmed signing unless we get something from the club.

Risky move for you lot. If I recall correctly, your pig is out of contract so you'll need a number two in. That'll be the key signing this summer, I imagine.

Is De Gea an Atletico fan? So we don't lose him to Real to replace Casillas I mean.

No he's not, but he'll be sold anyway

I thought Lindegaard was supposed to be utterly awful since he arrived, and will get shipped. At least, that's what I've heard.

Obviously he's not had many games, so it might just be bollocks.

News to me.

Still not convinced TBH. Replacing VDS with a 20 year old is very risky.

However not many better options since Neuer is all but gone to Bayern.

Only seeing this now. Huzzah. Yes he is young but he has undoubted talent and potential.

18 million is a lot. Buffon is the record. Who is next?

He got injured for a couple of months.

What?

He has a shoulder injury and has been out for 2 months or so. He's looked composed in the games he's played in the first team and reserves.

Say what? He's looked assured the two times he's played!

He's been injured for a bit, he'll certainly not be shipped and he will be our number two this season. For sure.

We're not Wenger when it comes to keepers, you know.

The most expensive goalkeeper of all time is currently Gianluigi Buffon (following his €52.29 million transfer to Juventus from Parma), followed by Angelo Peruzzi (€17.9 million from Internazionale to Lazio). The British record is held by Scottish goalkeeper Craig Gordon, who signed for Sunderland from Scottish club Heart of Midlothian for £9 million on 7 August 2007.

This is why I shouldn't take twitter news as gospel.

Nah, he looked very composed against Southampton and I think that's the only game he's played in so far.

Sky explicitly said the club had confirmed it. It would be bizarre to lie.

If this works out we will not have to worry about the GK position for two decades but it could very easily go horribly wrong and we would be looking to replace him in months. I hope its the former, but I know I would have preferred Buffon.

Pretty sure he got injured and had a knee op

Nice and early that transfer if true, always the best way for a full integration into the team ready for next season.

indeed, he has barely had a chance to play for the reserves let alone look crap for the first team. Has never looked anything but accomplished for the reserves. Never been tested too much but what I have seen has been absolutely fine.
