We simply must sign him to a new long term deal in the summer. Seems like a great lad to have in the dressing room in addition to on the pitch.

Did he move Valencia from the nearest post to the back post leading up to Valencia's clearance?

I noticed that, and I initially praised Valencia at the time for going back post instead. Didn't really think of the possibility of DDG telling him to swap.

Ah, correct. Looked a bit suspicious but thankfully DDG was well aware and acted quick enough.

Made some good solid saves in the game. Would love to see the news he has signed a new long term contract

French TV complimented him quite a bit. For the Valencia clearance, the commentators agreed that it was a very good choice by De Gea (not all keepers use players on both posts), and they were seriously impressed by his save from Cazorla's low shot. Another save that went a bit unnoticed was the deflected shot, by Cazorla maybe (?), that hit Vidic's back and completely wrong-footed De Gea. He shifted his feet and managed to catch the ball. Overall a very solid display by him in a very solid season.

Him, Januzaj and to a degree Rooney are the only people in the club that deserve some credit about this season.

Again a great performance by him. The low shot save was great.

Those are the sort of games you expect the big players to turn up, and DDG certainly did.

It's ridiculous how he makes certain saves look so easy really. I thought Cazorla's shot was going to go in, but Dave's sausage fingers just gobbled the ball up like it was hardly moving.

Would not swap him for any current keeper in the world IMO.

Yea it was a shot taken by Cazorla and his weight point was on the other foot, yet he managed to switch it and dived for it, fantastic save that was.

I actually think that last one was the pick of the bunch. The actual save was easy but the footwork to get him there was great. A lot of keepers would have been stuck on their heels, watching the ball float into an empty net.

Agree with both of you.

Vidic and Rio are waiting to be captioned.

I just feel bad for him because he doesnt get enough clean sheets. He gives it his best every game and he is not being rewarded because the players in front are not doing their job. A keeper's confidence just grows as he gets more clean sheets in a season.

Kompany : I got this, i got this!
De Gea: Negredo please!:nono:
Vidic: Hey Rio check this out yo this Kompany man he gon get decked yo. :D
Rio: Hmm gotta put this up on me instagram where's me phone.

Very good performance, some nice saves.

Hopefully he gets the new contract sorted out soon, certainly deserves it.

Couple of excellent saves, performance that wins you match.

Top class performance from a top class keeper. I can't pick out a single fault in that performance.

Easy match for him and his concentration levels were superb. Did nothing most of the match but made some great saves when called upon. Top top class player.

Has Pulis been hustling the keepers of other teams or does he still think he's up against the De Gea of two years ago?

A testing day which DDG did very well in i thought.

Excellent again. That first real save of the game, the deflected shot low in the corner, was top class. It's saves like that that go unnoticed, but I reckon most keepers would've let it in.

Tbh Chicharito does the same thing for us in those situations. But he's a likable lad. Jedinak really looks punchable while doing it...

And yes, De Dea did extremely well throughout.

I love him.

feck.

I wasn't the only one thinking of typing those 3 words alone :(.

He's nailed this spot on for 15 years at least. He's now learnt to control the simple games where he's required for one or two difficult moments where he's been standing still for most of it. I really hope he will be a lifer.
