You have absolutely no reason to believe that De Gea has any negative feeling about Moyes or that his chances of leaving are improved by Moyes being about.

Probably, But if Moyes sticks with us.... and Barcelona comes calling.... well....

With Moyes, the holy grail is 4th... I don't think that DDG would want to spent his years chasing 4th

Its pretty clear that Moyes is only staying while the club believe that his potential is good enough to win titles though.

When/if it becomes apparent he can't do better than top 4 then he'll be gone. I'm confident we'll know this by the end of next season.

Anyway, isn't Ter Stegen set for Barcelona? If so I'm not sure we have anything to worry about. If not, perhaps they will go for Courtious instead.

All 3 are set for great things.

Barcelona will come calling? After just signing Ter Stegen?

If Moyes stays beyond 2 season, Barcelona is the least you should worry about.

Since you've got it out, can you ask your crystal ball whether I'll win the lottery this week please?

Appreciated.

seeing this puts a smile on my face, it's so great seeing how much progress and confidence he's built on his cross command ability. working on these fundamentals so extensively, he may become one of the best active cross command keepers when he continues to fill out and mature, let alone just covering his 'weakness'.

Love the lad. He genuinely seems like he loves Manchester United and I get the impression that he'll be here for a long long time.

I would have been happier seeing us give big Dave the 300k/week contract than Rooney :)

If we can keep homesickness/Spanish big boys at bay, he'll easily remain our #1 for the next decade or more.

This guy.

It would take a £50m+ for us to consider selling him IMO. There is no keeper in the world I would rather have here.

dave easily deserve to be one of our best paid player, the way he has been performing for the last 12-18 months or so.

i think the good thing about some spaniard is that they can be pretty loyal. pepe reina never wanted to leave liverpool until he got push out of the door by brendan rodgers. torres has been in england for some years and now we havne a lot of spanish internationals in england as well. if we can just add another one or two spaniard in the team to join mata and dave then we can start to have our own spanish armada. out of topic but a couple of german signings would not be bad either.

Does anyone remember all the debate about his height during his dodgy early spell? There was almost a consensus that whatever stats people found online couldn't be trusted and he was a six footer, at best. He was getting compared to genuine short-arses like Given and Casillas.

Now you watch him plucking high balls out of the air (like in that gif, above) and he looks every inch of his 6 foot 3 or 4 frame (perhaps even taller? can't be arsed checking)

Now he was too old when we signed him to have actually got any taller, so the idea that he wasn't tall enough is a great example of how people's perceptions can become negatively distorted if they have doubts about a player's quality. We'll look back on the "immobile" comments about Fellaini with similar disbelief in another season or two.

By the way, some of the older caftards will probably remember Pat Jennings. The one handed take really reminded me of him. Mind you, big Pat would claim it without that bounce off the ground afterwards. Something for DDG to work on!

To be fair I've only just hit puberty and had a growth spurt at the age of 27.

He's 6ft 3, you are right there. He isn't the tallest keeper around (a very good height though) but it's the way he uses his frame to make himself seem bigger, much like Schmeichel did when he did the starfish.

Outrageous signing. It was one of the most exciting for me that I can remember, just for the pure fact I had seen him multiple times for AM and he looked a beast already at 20. The potential was absolutely frightening from this lad.

Yep he has huge potential, for what its worth i already rate him sligtly more higher than Courtois and Neur, think those 3 will be the leading keepers for the next 10 years or so.
