No. You are quite simply wrong. Have you ever played goalkeeper?

Yes I have, but not much. But it's irrelevant to the point I'm trying to make. It's also pointless me carrying on, as nobody seems to be making an effort to understand my point.

I think most people get the point you're making, but are struggling to get the motivation behind making it.. it does absolutely nothing to further constructive debate and just makes you look a bit of a tit

I think we all "understand" your point goldenballs. It just doesn't make much sense to be completely honest.

You are basically saying that every conceded goal is the goalkeeper's fault.

He does have a point if a keeper can instantly split into 10 versions of himself covering every part of the goal for every possible shot on target.

fecking DDG - why the hell didn't he just clone himself before the shot so he could potentially save any shot on target.

I'm not saying it's easy to find the correct spot. But there is always is a correct spot, whether you find it by skill or good luck. There will always be a place to stand and reach a ball. There is no such thing as an unsaveable shot, hard, even extremely difficult yes! But unsaveable no. Every shot is potentially saveable.

A penalty hit with power into the top corner is not savable

Possibly could have done better for Ramires' goal, his reaction suggested he thought as much, but what a save from Mata at the end.

Brilliant save from Mata and a good one to stop Hazard.

Kept us in the tie in the end. He stretched all the way for the Ramires goal but I didn't quite get why he went to ground with the first goal.

When Mata is in that position everyone in the world was expecting a goal, it was surely inevitable that he'd score. Outstanding save.

You could just tell how good the save was as soon as the players crowded round him, even they looked astonished. Unreal reactions and reflexes.

He was unlucky for the Ramires goal IMO. The ball bounced higher due to the shocking OT pitch. Would've gotten their IMO.

Brilliant save at the end. Had some dodgy kicks but made some great saves to make up for it. We would have been out of the cup had it not been for him. One thing is for sure, he is going to be very busy for the replay. We haven't been able to find an answer to stopping this chelski attack for the last 2 seasons now.

I think he had the Ramires one covered before it took a strange bounce and went over his hand. Not sure there was much he could have done about it.

Great save at the end.

Excellent save. You could see he was getting a little frustrated at his own distribution, but all in all a positive to take from the game

it looked in all the way. what a fantastic stop, if we go on to win the tournament that will be the moment we look back on. whether we can or not is for a different thread but well done again today. delivered in big games all season

His foot reaction is almost as good as his hand. He's just so fecking good.
Like I said on that 'our squad cost' thread, he's worth 40m (as the starting price).

Another class act from DDG. Not a perfect day for him but that save more than made up for it. There was no luck involved at all, which is usually the case with saves like that. Pure reactions.
Couldn't have done much about either of the goals.
