So basically you're not in favour of rotation as long as its your idol that is the one always playing.

If Fergie announced that there would be no more rotation, Lindegaard is number one and will play every game, then your argument against rotation would evaporate.

Did I say he was my idol , NO , I said I though he was a better keeper.
Is SAF says that Lindegaard is his No1 and will play every game that is fine, why would my argument about rotation evaporate?. I would welcome it, rotating a keeper does not work.
Like I said I think we play better with a steady No1 keeper.
If you want to have a go a my posting I dont mind after all that is what this place is for, but dont make things up, I am way past the age of having idols.

Absolutely; none of the goals scored yesterday were Lindegaard's fault but DDG is a keeper that is capable of the miraculous, Lindegaard is a just a safe pair of hands. This keeper rotation nonsense has to stop.

Exactly though I could see De Gea doing better in last 2 goals, especially in the Bale's one.

Not to be a bitch to Lindegaard as I can hardly blame him for our goals, but I'd be willing to bet my car that De Gea would've saved atleast a couple of the goals he let in.

I dont think De Gea would have done better with their third, Bale has a hard shot on his left foot and I think it was probably too hard to expect any keeper to save it and also control the save to make sure it didnt go near any of their players. The second I think Lindegaard should have done better, he didnt really dive towards the ball, he dived in that direction while not actually moving from the spot he was in. The first I dont think anyone could save once it has taken the deflection.

But, it does feel like had it been De Gea in goal yesterday and he had conceded those goals, in particular Bale's goal, he'd be dropped whereas Lindegaard wont be, and thats what is really frustrating. They both make mistakes and have weaknesses, but De Gea will be the better keeper in the end, and I'd rather we let him make the mistakes while he learns. As it is we're not giving him the chance to make the mistakes he'll learn from, and then when he does get in the team expect him to play perfectly or else be dropped

Has to start this weekend. Stop screwing it around Fergie.

I doubt that he will start at weekend despite being clearly our best keeper.

Superb save at the end. Made a smart save earlier in the game as well, dealt with all the crosses and overall looked very assured.

SAF should be less stubborn and just stick with DDG as #1 but I expect the rotation policy will continue for the foreseeable future.

He'll never learn if he's benched for every game where we'll supposedly be peppered by crosses. He was outstanding at Stoke and when he was first choice after Christmas. Stop fecking around Fergie.

Fantastic save at the end there. Hopefully it'll serve as a wake up call to Fergie that he should really be our number 1.

Agreed and he dealt well with aerial balls tonight too, even took a whack to the torso and didn't drop the ball.

Had a great moment where he caught the ball and held it, despite the Cluj player attempting to rugby tackle him. He was given the foul for that, but credit still has to go to him for holding onto the ball.

I reckon it'll be Lindegaard at the weekend then Fergie will put DDG back on league duty after the international break.

Fergie is completely blind to not see that de Gea is infinitely more talented than Lindegaard.

De Gea is going to be the best keeper in the world. I can't stand how every man and his dog uses him as a scape goat every time the shit hits the fan! His shot stopping is frightening. Once he matures he is going to be unreal.

Fergie acknowledged DDG's quality in post match interview which probably means that Lindegaard will play vs Newcastle.

Don't express your opinion like a child, especially when it ignores the fact that Ferguson bought De Gea for 17m and so clearly recognizes his talent. You may not agree with how he's handling the issue of the goalkeeper position but to call him completely blind is, funnily enough, a short-sighted argument.

Seems to be less flack hitting him this season what with our defense being such tumescent dogshit. Last season when we had a perfect start his "errors" were the only thing they could find to criticize. Which was fecking daft. He was a 20 year old kid moving to a new country, with a new culture.

All of you think you know better than Fergie, bla bla bla.

No really, the guy should he first choice.

Schmeichel (on De Gea's save late in the game): "It was a fantastic save. You think 'Goal', but David is really good at reacting to those." He also shrugged off the criticism from Hoddle that he should've done better for the goal

Good old Schmikes.

Regarding the goal, DDG might've been expecting a more cleanly-hit shot.

The goal could have been saved but really it was too fast, striker hit the ball without stopping him and De Gea could have thought that Evans would block it. I don't know but it could be that Evans blocked his sight too. A savable shot but very difficult and in the same situation I could see even better keeper struggling.

Anyway a fantastic display by him, 1 good save and an excellent one that saved our asses again, while he dealt good with the crosses too.

Please Fergie, for God's sake play the fecker and stop this stupid rotation policy.

I can't...but I can provide you with this picture of de Gea with a Labrador

SAF's building up his confidence, why throw him into the deep end in tough league games where he will be targeted and risk jeopardising his progress. Let him keep working and ease him in slowly so that he truly believes in his catching/crossing ability.

Am I the only one that believes in this short term rotation policy? It will become more and more in DDG's favour anyway, soon enough.
