BDO Worlds Championship has started this week.
I know this sounds harsh but it does seem to be getting more pointless each year as the quality gap is so huge now(I can't remember the number but it's been years since there's been a 9 darter at the Lakeside). And although I sort of understand it's place in the game, it really is awful to watch.

He might be humble, but he is usually a bad loser and arrogant. Think it just comes with the territory of being amazing.
I watched a bit late last night. They were both averaging in the 70s. The one minute of women's darts I saw was actually better. This lass took out a 152 finish.
Only BDO 9 darter was Paul Lim back in 1990 I think. BDO run the grass roots stuff and produce the odd gem but yep on the whole a shit watch.
BDO will either cease to exist or start to follow in the PDC'a footsteps In terms of attempted glamour etc. I don't see it surviving in the current form. They have absolutely zero casual viewers. If you aren't a darts fan you don't watch it. However the PDC attracts a pretty large group of viewers.

It needs to be before the PDC really, as it does it no good to follow on from or be ongoing at the latter stages of the PDC, as you are getting the best players in the world performing at their best in the late stages compared with the BDO players first round where the gap in standard will be even more exaggerated
The BDO runs all the local and youth stuff. It is actually the lifeblood of the sport. Can't think of any top player that hasn't come through it.
Ideally it would probably merge with the PDC so it is better managed. The two organisations really need to grow up and speak to each other.

Amazing the tournaround in Anderson's double play over the last year. I genuinely think that that's why Taylor wobbled a bit there.... didn't think Anderson's finishing would hold up in the final against him.
Still think it's Taylor's to lose. When he really turns it on even Ando can't live with him. He's just a bit stop start today.
Any working rivers for this?
I always start to worry for Anderson when he starts going like that on doubles.

You can see why Taylor has lost only 3 of 19 finals. The guy is relentless.
Been watching the whole tournament over xmas and haven't seen Anderson this nervous throughout any of it. Or is it just me who thinks that?

I thought he was gone after Taylor's 141 but yeah, it's still on. Phil is a wally.... he can give it large to opposition when he wants to but gets sulky when others showboat. Total douche but obviously a class player.

I know that alot of the players have been giving out about the boards throughout the tournament because darts have been falling out but that was fecking ridiculous.
