Darts

I like fast darts. This is a good game.
Watching Tom Kerridge v Andrew Gilding earlier was frustrating.

God I hate Gilding so much.

Bit of an epic developing here.

Happy that we get to see Ricky again after Christmas.

Wonder if the seeds falling will impact who goes in the Premier League now, surely Bully Boy won't be in he is down at 15 after the world's I think
Think he might be nearer 20. Remarkable drop, but he lost GSOD money as well recently.
To think I laughed when Price dropped from 2 to 5 when his worlds win fell out the rankings.
That's about 14 seeds gone now.
That certain half of the draw is anyone's, really is.
Mixed feelings on this. Sad to see Ando out and was hoping for more from GVV and Nijman. Thought DVD had been looking better recently than he showed too.

Seeds crashing out has been a trend all year I suppose.

There's just not that much of a gap anymore between the top 5-20 of the rankings and the guys between 20-60, especially if you compare it to pre-Covid times imo.

Factor in the fact that you have some players who seemingly do well at the Worlds a lot of times (Williams, Gurney, Dolan, ...) and a few lower ranked players who've been in good form lately (Wattimena, Woodhouse), it's not that surprising that quite a few seeded players are already out. Feel like Best of 3 also doesn't allow for a lot of mistakes, but makes it more interesting and unpredictable so I like it.

Very hard to call the QFs now as literally anything can happen - the only guys I'd back with a little confidence are Littler, Humphries and MVG I think. And indeed very very hard to call what the PL line-up will look like with a few guys like De Decker, Ando, Chizzy, Cross previously in the conversatoin but hard to include them given their early exits. Cross is currently 4th but think he can drop significantly if a few of Heta, Bunting, Price, Aspinall, Clayton go far in the Worlds?

Humphries
Littler
MVG
4th seed
Heta
Bunting
Price
Another guy who goes far in the Worlds?

Rest of the bunch looks rather unappealing; can't believe they'd include Snakebite once again but if he gets to the semis or something like that, anything can happen of course.

EDIT: looks like Heta and Clayton need a semifinal to overtake Cross while Bunting, Asp and Price need a final appearance. So definitely not all of them will jump Cross.

The Lukes are way ahead, then MVG, Smith, Cross, Price struggling for consistency below them.
Agree the rest has shuffled up, with MDD, Wattimena etc finding another level. Likes of Rydz and Williams capable of runs here too.

NO way Snakey makes the prem. Smith the toughest call. Likes of Asp would need to do well here- it's most open it's ever been.

Could see one of the wildcards going to one of the youngsters this time. That's if they still do a couple of wildcards have not checked.

Anderson won't play even if he is invited which is a shame as he's been in great form until getting injured before this tournament.
