Watching it at the moment.
Bunting v Anderson is good alright.

Bunting v Anderson is good alright.
I had to watch it on ITV catch up, which is always miserable.
Ando was good and DVD, but lot of one-sided matches.

The consecutive 180s are nice between Asp and Humphries, but Luke a few levels too high at the moment.

Hoping De Decker can beat Rock and continue his good form.

Very good performance from Gilding beat the Nuke 6-4
Littlers doubles absolutely deserted him and he needs to alleviate that from his game. Gilding well deserved and didn't buckle at all.
As for Luke Humphries devastating stuff.
Again it's Humphries vs the rest of the field.

Ando-MVG not quite living up to the billing. Some huge scoring and excellent spells from Ando, but doubles patchy. MVG way off and awful doubles. Could be 9-1 Ando already, not 7-3 at the break.

Gilding is awful tonight.
It's that horrible, frustrating one that happens once too often where the favourite or one of the top tips is beaten by the outsider and that's their 'final'. Obviously was hoping for Littler v Heta/Pikachu.

Anyone with money on outsiders or each way chances these last 2 tournaments.
Edhouse, Woodhouse, Wattimena and Pietresco/Noppert.
Couldn't predict that, well not a lot could.

It’s great to see different winners, not sure who I would make favourite for the title.

Been out for the afternoon - didn't expect this lineup tonight makes it interesting.

Heads up :

Grand Slam of Darts
Afternoon session today starts at 1pm mark.

Great week of arrows.

Bunting-Nijman and GVV-Rock were decent- shame Greaves couldn't hit the double 8 to make it 3-3.

I always found this a weird tournament. Interesting quick fire group stages, then the overlong knockout matches become a slog.

Some very odd entries into this for this year. Always like a bit of variety but this tournament was built on inviting the best of the BDO players which worked in the early days.

Hankey beating Taylor was a legendary watch.

Sadly I guess there aren't many who could compete any more so it's all changed. There are one or two in it but it's a different comp now.

It was good with the BDO guys. I remember Wolfie Adams getting a good reception when he finally competed and had a mini run.

I guess now they're more promoting the US, Asia and women's game.

Barry, Joyce, Mansell and Rowby-John all slightly odd picks, though the latter two were excellent tbf.

Harsh on Nijman who's lost with a 106 average against Bunting and now 105 v Rock. Brilliant four leg burst from Rock at the end, winning with a 10-darter.

Bunting-GVV next sounds good.

EDIT: GVV wired double 18 for the 9 and averaged 114.7. If he hadn't missed two doubles at the end, he'd have had the tournament record. Superb performance.
Poor Bunting average over 100 and pulled out a 170 to avoid a whitewash.

Wow didn't expect Humphries to crash out like that.
Quality win for Ando over MVG, Littler looks untouchable in peak form and Wattamena is a player reborn.

What drama so far, Menzies loses 5-1 to Greaves, that meant that Schneider needed 3 legs, he had 4 darts to win the leg he needed but missed, so Menzies go through.

Won my first league game of the season, lost the 1st leg, then went 3/3 on my doubles with checkouts of 48, 76 and a 120 to win it. made as nice change as I lost my last 2 games my opponents both hit 3/3 on their doubles including 3 100+ checkouts between them which were 2 of the top 3 finishes this season:lol:.

Carrying on from the last two tournaments.
MVG, Smith and especially Humphries all gone. So outside of Luke Littler it's wide open again.
Wades half looks very good for him.
Tournament really starts tonight.
