No what I mean is how could you practically hear the aher-aher-aher guffaw laughter to himself as he typed it. Or called you Dickey. It's like you are trying to take a guess.

Oh well,
After I think about it. May be I shouldn't interrupt since I didn't know what kind of conversation you had been through
He called me Dickey in a post, so I read that. So no, I'm not trying to take a guess. Obviously I couldn't actually hear his guffaw laughter, this was more poetic license and being a tad sarcastic about the level of post I felt it was.

I never said he's not good enough for United. I said he wasn't good enough to be a starter, that he was a pretty good squad player.

What I am talking about, is I recalled your username. I wondered why, so I looked back. And yup, in a previous Welbeck thread, you disagreed with something I stated and were very clever in calling me "dickey" in your reply. I was impressed at the wit and intelligence.

Course, I'm sure you'll claim it was a typo.
it was a convenient typo error. I think i did go back and edit that post for whatever that's worth.

Typical Welbeck attempt there, what did he actually do? Sky didn't even count it as a shot!

1.5 games into his arsenal career and we see why he didn't quite have enough to make it at united. Nobody expects him to score every chance, but the big chances in big games he scuffs more often then not. Twice today and against city once he could've scored but made a mess out of it one way or another.

He's still learning...

And other stuff.

He's not very good. United absolutely robbed Arsenal

The "Falcao or Welbeck?" thread will go down in history.

The second piece of movement he made to get the opening for the chance was great, but he fired a blank at the climax.

Are we going to bump this thread whenever he misses?
Ugh, it's a horrible situation. But the reaction from the media and Arsenal fans will be so obnoxious when he scores that I can kind of understand it. Because he will score lots of goals...

That's why he's an Arsenal player right now. He wanted to be played up front, well, if you want it, you have to earn it by taking chances like that.

Is he suddenly going to become world class over night by switching teams? Most people that defend him are saying he needs time and confidence from playing upfront consistently. Not 1.5 games.

Halves like that make the whole fuss it caused look pretty funny. I don't want to root against him too much but can't help it with him playing for Arsenal and all the identity hysteria. Still his finishing wasn't out of touch with the game, Mkhitaryan is miles worse for it, I think that lad thinks he's a fly half.

Danny "Local lad, played out of position" Welbeck

Goals should come for Welbeck, it just needs to click. But whenever they do much rather this thread was just bumped for his misses.

No they weren't, they were saying play him up front and he'll score. You cant move the goal posts now.

Oh right. I'm pretty sure the argument is play him upfront regularly and he will score.

Turning 24 in a month too. Shouldn't he be passed the stage of fecking up every break away he has? He might turn into a good all around player but he just doesn't have the clinical bit, which is what you need as a striker.

He's been playing regularly, just because he's been out wide doesn't give him an excuse for having poor finishing, that doesn't get rusty from playing wide. He should be taking those chances.

I wasn't bothered that we sold Welbeck, I don't think he was good enough for United and I think he'd had more than enough time here.

I also think the hysteria that followed his sale was really daft and overly sentimental (and hypocritical).

But I think we're better than gloating over every chance he misses- also it kinda tempts fate a little (yes, I'm that superstitious). At least lets wait til the end of a game before we gloat!
