which part of it you think that its incorrect? Aren't we struggling in signing a quality CM? Haven't we just lost a very promising kid? Isn't Pogba at the end of his contract? Aren't we in the Europa league after failing to qualify in one of the easiest CL groups?

Are we champions? Have we won 12 fecking PL:s the last 19 years? Have we won lots of other trophies including 2 CL:s? Are you trying to wind me the feck up? Where the feck were you in the 70s and 80s? Get a fecking grip, sooner or later we will be struggeling again and I hope it is later. Still, OT will be filled but the likes of you won´t be there

You took everything out of concept. I'm talking about how, De Rossi may perceive his chance of winning with Shitty, a club with unlimited funds and ambitions whose becoming stronger in a league where all its main competitors are struggling in one way or another. That's the beauty of cutting part of the posts and comment on it. Its got a taste of Stalin's propoganda to be honest.

hmm.

Get the feck over Morrison (have you ever seen the lad play?). Fergie knows his stuff and noone is more eager than him to bring young mancs into the team. If they don´t wanna be here then so be it. They can sod off. I want players who wants to play for this club

I've actually seen the kid play a couple of games and he was impressive. He impressed various fans here who were sad to see him go. However feel free to think that the problem was his attitude rather then the 'unreasonable demands' excuse put forward by SAF. Everyone is asking unreasonable demands nowadays. Morrison left, we've got problems with Pogba and Fryers, Rooney nearly left because of it, Nasri didn't signed, and same thing can be said about Sneijder. Thank god that center backs and full backs can play in midfield, 38 yr old wingers can do the job there too and we can convince retired players to return or else we would be in deep shit there.

Nasri's inclusion above is pointless. He was never coming to United and the club certainly weren't going to pay him near the wages on offer at City, and rightfully so.

Yessssssss!!!!!!!!! We can finally end this stupid love affair over an incredibly overated player.

There was never any doubt that he'd sign a new contract at Roma.

Translation - "I'm 28 and will require a highly lucrative contract from one of England's sugar daddy clubs to see out the prime years of my career".

Mancini would pounce if this is true and send the likes of De Jong packing.

After only signing a long-term deal in Feb? Fickle out. Would be a nice signing, but my man love for Carrick steps in here. Both play a similar anchor position for us. Could they play together?

IMO If Yaya gets his way and heads off, then he is probably City bound. Just his age profile and the fact we have Carrick just has me thinking. If he was younger then you could point to the fact he is a successor to Carrick. I just cant see it happening.

Boat has gone on this 1 IMO.

Would be ludicrously expensive and not really what we are looking for anyway IMO.

30M on either De Rossi or Modric? i know who i would choose.

He can still give us 6 years of proper football me thinks. But I guess City's forward 6 are going to line up like this next season -

------------De Rossi------Yaya--------------

-Nasri-----------Aguero----------Silva-----

----------------RVP---------------------

:nervous:

Seems to be a regular Fellaini at the moment.....playing anywhere, legit anywhere in that middle line, sweeper, centre back, dm, cm, am....done well though.

Thought he signed a 5 year monster contract though? He's settled for staying at Roma for life I think, cost far too much to get him, even for City.

If that happens - which I highly doubt - bye bye the Premiership for the next three years at least.

Thing is City have done feck all in the transfer market so far. Normally they're trying to hijack deals left right and center. This summer is pretty scary in the sense that they have been extremely quiet. The calm before the storm :nervous:

His stats for last season do not marry up with the absurd money it would take to get him here.

I had no idea De Rossi'd ever played centre back before this tournament, but he played 8 games there this season and most of them were towards the back end of the season. He's looked good, this is probably the best stuff he's played at an international tournament.

No thank you. Pretty limited and over rated player.

I don't get comments like these. We have Darren Fletcher. Are you saying he's limited and average or is he better than De Rossi?

Just because you don't want the guy here doesn't mean you have to resort to silly comments like that. He's Roma's Roy Keane after all. He has 75 caps for Italy. He's a good player.

 Well there's a first

Pretty weird to see comments praising him about anchoring a 3 man defence, a role no one would of guessed he would play......followed by a comment calling him limited.

He is obviously a good player but I do not think he is as good as his reputation and of course that reputation means he will want to be a very top tier earner.

I would never describe him as Roma's Roy Keane. Very different playing styles and temperaments. I find that a silly comment if i'm honest ;)

He's a decent player yes. But there's no way that i'd spend 25m-30m on a player who's form is dipping. For someone often described as a DM, he has infact played far more in CM for Roma. He has a pretty low tackling stat for this season (68), while having a surprising amount of interceptions (101). I also don't like his style of passing, he tends to play long balls alot, although he does have a pretty high pass completion stat of 87.9%.

Thought it'd be interesting to compare players. Went back to the table showing Englands CM choices and found some Rossi stats to add onto.

Mins per tackle:
Parker 23
Carrick 29
Barry 33
De Rossi 43

Mins per interception:
Parker 28
De Rossi 28
Carrick 32
Barry 40

Pass completion:
Carrick 89.77%
Parker 89.44%
De Rossi 87.90%
Barry 85.63%

He doesn't exactly shout 25-30m player to me. Infact looking at those stats, i'd even say that Carrick is slightly better defensively than him. De Rossi is a decent leader though so i'll give him that. For a 28 year old with massive wage demands and a high transfer fee he isn't good enough to warrant it. Just my opinion of course, but at least my opinion is backed up by some facts :)

I think those stats also point out how invaluable Carrick is, and how underrated he is by practically everybody

He could quite easily come in and take parkers place in the england midfield, instead of Jordan fecking henderson. Jesus christ.

I cant understand how one can compare stats coming from four different players, playing in four different teams, in two different leagues.

De Rossi has played in a team who was close of going to bankrupcy and who was lead by a rookie manager who believed that De Rossi can be drop deep as anchor/defender. That something stats wont show

feck stats. De Rossi would be an awesome signing for United. But we will never go for him.

If he didn't signed the contract extension with Roma then I could see him at United. Unfortunately he signed it up.

If I know the Italian culture wel I think that his intention was not to attract clubs to him but merely it was part of a mind game played on the likes of Milner etc. Its like 'look you're not that special because if you were then the 'big English clubs' wouldn't have been interested in me.
