Reminds me of Lee Sharpe....who by the way was nicknamed TGV by the french pundits.

He looks dangerous every time he gets it and you can hear the excitement in the crowd.

What impressed me the most is he’s clearly not lazy in his defensive duty either, he’s racing back with walker and doubling up on Mahrez, that’s a good sign.

Video has a lot more clips. Some nice dribbling and crossing in there.

Nice clip. Very direct, but he does seem like a one trick pony and could be easily figured out in the PL. He relies almost exclusively on his turn of pace to create space ala Valencia but at least he has a left foot

So what, he was playing for a Championship team when signed

So what? If you're using him as a direct comparison to a kid who has never played top flight football you're wrong. You don't think it matters that Robertson already had PL experience when Liverpool signed him? Wijnaldum did as well, top flight experience.

Nice, why are some posters so against this potential transfer?

Probably because he is from the championship? Some expect a bigger name, but not too big. Their bubble still hasnt burst that we wont sign Sancho for the right wing this summer

I am not using him as a direct comparison, i am stating Liverpool signed a player, playing in the lower leagues, who developed into a first team player for them. You for some bizarre reason have just made up your own narrative

Ok, but we still need to build a squad. So the reported 15M is perfect for us. So it's impossible to find talent in the Championship?

$15M.

I take punts like that in FM all the time, and i win titles.

Sign him up! :D

We'll have to see how much he can improve but based on every clip I've seen, he seems to be about rapid pace, energy and hard work. Haven't seen one clip that showcases a very technically gifted young player.

James together with Rashford and Pogba pinging the ball over their shoulders.... I would call in sick if I was a defender who had to face them the next day.
It should be a useful tool. Although it has to noted that at home teams don't give us much room in behind since they sit deep. Regardless someone who can blitz a defender from a standing position is handy

We have always had a fast front four or three. We need to get back to that. Teams cant afford to play a high line when we have so many speedy options.

Agreed. But technique combined with pace is ideal in starters. As Liverpool have in Mane and Salah. Granted it's just 15 million so you can't have it all. But let's see. All we have is clips here and there right now

Key is to have a philosophy that entertains, excites and takes risks. Dont care how we do it -- even if we lose trying.

For all I’ve seen of him, a couple of YouTube compilations, he seems to be a speedster and nothing more. Seems like he lacks the final touch, but for 15 million I think it’s worth the a punt.

Who did Liverpool sign from the lower leagues exactly? I mean your point might have some validity but couldn't think of a worse example than Liverpool.

Ironically both the last 2 I can think of came from Charlton: Voldemort and Gomez

Personally i think the attitude of the United fans has become as the rest of the club poisones. Its something really wronge all the way. It's not just the management or the players. It's also a big part of the fans. Man i actually wonder if this club can be fixed cause the fanbase today has changed.

If you look at the way Liverpool play, they allow the opposition onto them and as soon as they win the ball it’s a one touch ball over the top for Salah or Mane to chase. It’s worked wonders for them this season and this is something we can look to do with Rashford and James’ pace.

I agree. A large number will be calling for heads after the first defeat. Our expectations should be low enough now for us to realise it's going to take years to get anywhere near the top. All the while, City and Liverpool will be strengthening.

I agree with you to a certain extent. But when you have only known success for 25 years of supporting a club, it's almost impossible to adjust back to the real world. Maybe in another 3 or so years, when it will be 10 years since we were good, you will start seeing fans adjusting to the norm.

Aren't all our players having already great touch like Lukkaku/Smalling ?

Aye! What are we Manchester United or Watford? Do Juventus fans start thinking like Sampdoria fans? We are this way because we support the biggest club in England. If we supported Everton with 5 years of success I would agree with you.

It’s great having pace, but you’ve still got to put the ball in the back of the net.

It's gone quiet this one, perhaps it wasn't legit afterall?
The season hasn’t even finished yet. I’m sure things will start happening in a couple of weeks.

His technique looks absolutely fine. Compare how he runs with the ball to say Walcott, there’s a big difference.

He runs with the ball close to his feet rather than punting it Long and running like Rashford does, that makes a big difference.

I do wonder whether we will put him back on the right, seems pretty comfortable on both sides.
