From what I can gather they have so many appeals they can launch but they're saving them until after this transfer window so it hasn't come into effect yet.. Something along those lines. Corrupt FIFA at it's finest, so many rules broken by big spending teams yet nothing happens.

Well I think we have lacked abit of pace and excitement in wide areas in recent years. Plus, from what people are saying, he appears to be totally suited to the formation Van Gaal wants to play.
Also, I'll be pissed off if we really want him and just let Barca come in and take him. We should actually try and see of another monster club like Woodward has been saying we can.
Cuadrado is a rarity in that he is just as dangerous as a rwb as he is a winger. In that sense he's more useful than Di Maria in our current set up, as it allows us to switch between 3-5-2 to 4-3-3 and he's guaranteed to start in either formation and not be uncomfortable or moan.

I think you're being a bit presumptuous saying we could have got Sanchez, he said himself that Arsenal being in the Champions League and the style of their football being similar to Barcelona's style is what attracted him. We haven't exactly been easy on the eye over the last 5 years.

If you really think that is true, you either know jack about Cuadrado or you jack about fair prices in todays transfermarket. On top of that rumours are Florentinas price tag is €40m not €50m. €40m is alot for him, but putting that next to what we paid for Herrera let alone Shaw and it is a pretty fair deal.
You have to factor in the fact it will mean less of Valencia. That alone is worth £25m.

I'd say I've seen more of him than you have. As I said there's a rumour that we're willing to offer €50m to keep Barca out of the picture, I agree that he's worth about half that figure based on deals for the likes of Sanchez, Rakitic, Kroos, Griezmann, Fabregas etc.
Also this is retarded, it's not some kind of overpay for one may as well overpay for all future deals.
We're out of the champions league, we can't really be selective about how much we're willing to pay.
He'd tick a lot of boxes. I'd be delighted if we managed to sign him.
Cadena Ser on June 24th out of nowhere reported Herrera to United is close. They are also reporting Barcelona will be pipped by us for Cuadrado.
IF we get Cuadrado and Vidal this summer... this would be the single best summer in a long, long time. Actually I can't remember any better if it happened.

Yup. Nani is 100% gone. Valencia may stick around but never play and leave in January.
We will sign a defender... but even without Hummels, if we have Cuadrado and Vidal come in, we'd have an incredible team. Some people underestimate just how awesome our team could be.

That is a daunting team to face I'd imagine.
Vidal is the beast that makes this team deadly IMO, but I do think we are only 2 good signings (a wingback and CB) plus Vidal away from a winning team!
Couldn't agree more. That team has everything you need in the modern game and what's more is its a unique style of playing the prem would have never seen.
Pleased if we sign him but I hope we're not focusing on him to the detriment of looking at midfielders and centrebacks.

Priority blah blah blah. That may be the case, but if we've been given some encouragement to sign this fella we are hardly going to turn around and say, "hold up there, we haven't signed our priority signing yet, so we'll have to delay for a short while. We'll get back to you."

I see where you're going mate and I'm right with you. But, the whole point of us splashing for a defender in the transfer market is for a left-sided CB or LCB to replace Johnny Evans who has proven himself to be a panic horse with the ball.
Would you expect them all to gel instantly though? Don't get me wrong..I think we would challenge, but it would be the the next season we would win the title, that you would expect surely.
