    Hope to see :
    ----------------DDG------------
    Valencia--Smalling-Blind--Rojo
    ---------Carrick--BFS----------
    Mata------Fellaini-----Memphis
    -----------Rooney-------------

Should do the job and we could rest Darmian, Martial, Jones and Morgan for the City game

Not sure about the Carrick/bastian duo after the arsenal game.

    I've gone for:

    ................De Gea
    Darmian.Smalling.Jones.Blind
    .......Schneiderlin.Carrick
    .............Herrera
    Mata......................Memphis
    ..............Rooney

I think he'll rotate a little bit. Basti, Martial and one of the kids to come on as subs.

What a stroke of luck - United are coming to my city, I have the tickets and I'm too sick to go :(

    Going with:

    de Gea
    Darmian Smalling Jones Rojo
    Carrick Schneiderlin
    Mata Herrera Martial
    Rooney

Was tempted to pick Blind and Memphis over Jones and Mata, but having those as subs instead.

CSKA don't lose at home all that often, pretty sure they're unbeaten at home this season so far. On the flipside, they don't win often in Europe. Most likely result is a draw here, but we should be expecting to be able to get the three points here and at Old Trafford to all but secure qualification.

Is it a plastic pitch ? If so then could the fast run of the ball and potential for injury favour Blind rather than Jones ?

I'm sorry if I didn't find an existing dedicated thread for UEFA Youth League group results today:

I've gone for the same but with Memphis starting instead of Herrera.
Tricky one to get right, Memphis is likely to start though, can't see LVG freezing him out and he's done well in Europe so far.
Same but Carrick over BFS. Obvious rotation policy.
Not sure, think BFS might start this one. Usually I'd say Carrick because of the rotation thing, but I can see LVG putting BFS in the starting XI and maybe switching it at half time.

Bastian had the international week off. He'll play this game and be acessed for Sunday

The squad when we last faced them 6 years ago:

Tony our only scorer and survivor :(

    Decent team that.

Ando looks like he's just spotted a potential victim carrying some burger and chips that he can mug later.
Very, very decent team at the time.

That GK/CB combo makes me cry. Absolutely wonderful.

Are you attached to a respirator? If no, grab your IV bag and go. Don't forget your coat, we don't want you to get a cold.

Anyone know if this is on TV in the States? Not seeing anything in the listings

Champions league build-up on the BBC website - picture of Klopp. Okaaaaayyyy...

With a huge game vs City coming up I would definitely rest a few of our stars.

Tough one this , we need the points but also need to be fresh for City .
No resting anyone! The title isn't going to be lost on the weekend but our CL campaign could be under serious consideration with 2 losses especially as Wolfsburg looked quite decent vs us.

Woot, I'm home and on time

So, anyone know a free tv channel that broadcasts this, because Dutch channels are leaving me hangin'

I like the team but I'm now slightly worried for Sunday. We need that midfield duo against City.

October has ruined my team predictions, too.

Probably 9 players starting tonight who you would expect to start at the weekend. Wasn't that long ago there were claims the players were tired...

Weird that the lineups are out 20 minutes earlier for both sides. Exciting lineup though. Pace all over that team with a brilliant midfield. Huge vote of confidence in Lingard from Van Gaal as well. Clearly rates him highly. Started our first game of the season last year but was unlucky to tear his knee ligaments I think? And then now back in the team ahead of plenty of big names.

We did have an international break where pretty much all of those players were rested for at least 1 of the games, if not more. In fact I don't think any of them played more then 1 match over the break so we had a nice break throughout our squad. Blind and Memphis the only ones who played both games and they've both been rested since then the last 2 games.

Lingard getting a game, nice to see that. I would have started Carrick though instead of Bastian, not sure he can do play 3 games in the space of a week. But happy with the lineup nonetheless.
