Ronaldo, Van Persie, Di Maria, Falcao, Mata, Rooney And Januzaj.

Real, Barca, Bayern go feck yourselves

He barely wanted to be here when he was here I do not no why people assume he is dying to come back.
It was only the last season he wanted to join his dream club he had won everything there was to win as a player the time was right for him, nothing wrong with wanting to fulfil a dream. He gave everything to United when he was here.

Who's going to break the CL scoring record first then, Ronaldo or Messi? Ronaldo plays first tomorrow in what should be a comfortable game for Real. Seems absurd he got anywhere near close the way their records were two years ago.

Indeed. Prior to 2012 it was really a no-contest, but Cristiano's record in the CL over the past two seasons is markedly superior to Messi's. I'm also not sure that Messi is going to be posting particularly high numbers this season, because he already seems to have transitioned even more into a provider than finisher under Luis Enrique.

Looking at their records since 2009/10, Cristiano's last campaign has put him slightly ahead.

Cristiano: 51 apps, 52 goals, 12 assists
Messi: 53 apps, 50 goals, 10 assists

Overall, Messi still leads fairly comfortably though.

Before leaving the club in 09 he tried to leave in 06 and then in 08.

I'd rather we put the money towards Hummels or another world class CB.

Ronaldo is United history, a proud part of it but history nonetheless. We aren't a retirement club either.

Why do some people keep banging on about how he didn't want to be here? or that he left us?

He won pretty much everything while he was here, every individual and team trophy had the guy's name on it, I mean we won the Premier League 3 fecking times in a row lol, and reached a semi final and 2 CL finals (When's the last time a teams done that?).

Wouldn't you lot get bored and want to try something new after such a dominating period?

Why didn't Rio, Vidic, Evra, Carrick, etc want to try something new during that time? And didn't we kill Rooney for looking elsewhere?

Ronaldo may enjoy the 'challenge' of returning to United next season and leading us back to the top. Of course if Ronaldo did return, the title would be almost guaranteed next season.

All the stories indicate he could come back. With Di Maria here and the Mendes link it could happen.

Keeping us at the top* (and winning the champions league)

I feel he will stay at Madrid until he is 32 then move to LA Galaxy for the celebrity lifestyle, he visits LA every summer and clearly loves it there

You guys really need to let this go.
Agreed. I can't see van Gaal being this short-term with a front four including Rooney, van Persie, Falcao and Ronaldo. It makes no sense to the squad balance, either. If we go 4-3-3 with him on the left, I can't see us playing Mata, that's too much of a burden defensively for the other midfielders. Wages become a bit of an issue too, surely? Falcao, Rooney, van Persie + Ronaldo, that has to be around £1-1.5m a week between them .I'd much rather see us spunk out on a top class CB, or just sign another younger winger, Reus or Depay, for example.

Now you just sound like an idiot.

Evra himself said he almost joined Inter Milan during that period and Fergie had to pursuade him to stay.

Rio and Carrick are both English and obviously see United as the pinnacle of Football.

As for Rooney, he pulled his little strop after both Ronaldo and Tevez left, he knew we had to bow to his demands as we had little quality in attack without him. He also publicly criticized the club which a lot of Fans will not forget.

I don't even know where he'd play here now and besides his number is taken now as well

This picture was taken straight after the one you've posted. Apparently he turned off the TV to be fully concentrated while agreeing his personal terms with United. (If you look closely at the bottom of the screen, you can see Woodward sitting at the table.)

That was fast. Hopefully this will wake perez up.

I hope he fecks off to the lot from across the road.

Is Ronaldo given his recent injury record at the beginning of a slow decline?. If he came back to us in a year or so would we be buying a player at the wrong end of a career?. Should we be buying top young players instead of top old players?

yes x3

Because I'd rather spend the money elsewhere. His age. And I rather get players either at their peaks or approaching their peak. He played his prime years at Real, let him play his career out at some obscure American club.

No doubt. Fair enough if you don't want him here if it means we'll be paying obscene amounts of money for him. Me, personally, I wouldn't wanna spunk anything over £20m on him but I can't see why you'd actively want him to go to City. Immediately, he'd win them the league singlehandedly and would automatically make them CL contenders.

Here we go ...

Ramon Calderon: Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Manchester United

http://www.espnfc.us/spanish-primera-división/story/2035879/ramon-calderon-fed-up-cristiano-ronaldo-could-return-to-manchester-united

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has told TalkSPORT he believes Cristiano Ronaldo could return to Manchester United after becoming disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu.

Calderon, the president who made Ronaldo the world's most expensive player when he brought him to Madrid from United, claimed the Portugal captain was disenchanted following the departures of Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria.

"My impression is he is fed up with the policy of the current president [Florentino Perez]," Calderon told Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

"When he came [to Real Madrid] with [Arjen] Robben he thought he would be a good colleague for him in the team [Robben was later sold]. Two years ago, it was [Gonzalo] Higuain that was sold, and he didn't like that.

"Last year, he thought it was a mistake to let [Mesut] Ozil leave -- and the last straw was selling Xabi Alonso and Angel Di Maria this summer."

Speculation in recent weeks has suggested that United are keen to re-sign Ronaldo, and Calderon said the winger's affection for his old club could yet see him return.

"When I signed him in 2008, I remember he said he was grateful to Manchester United. He had a marvellous time there -- he likes everything. It is a really great club," he said.

Earlier this month, Ronaldo created a stir when he appeared to question Real's summer transfer business.

James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos were among the new arrivals while Alonso and Di Maria -- who Ronaldo had fought to keep at the Bernabeu -- made way, and the Portuguese responded by saying: "If I was in charge, maybe I would not do things like that."

There was further speculation about Ronaldo's future at the club when hetalked up a return to United and Di Maria told the "America & Closs" radio show: "I don't know how long he will stick it out at Madrid."

However, Perez told a news conference that his relationship with Ronaldo was fine, saying: "I know him well. He didn't want to be inconsiderate towards the new players. In addition, he likes them. I have no discrepancies with him."

Mis declaraciones se han malinterpretado. Ayer escuché a mi Presi y estoy con él al 100%.

And on Saturday, Ronaldo wrote on Twitter: "My comments were misunderstood. I heard what the president had to say, and I'm with him 100 percent."

Thing is he'd probably still cost north of £50m.

I don't think this is the first time Calderon has taken shots at Perez.
