It's working for him, you have to admit. He is obsessed with scoring goals. Absolutely obsessed with individual glory.
He addresses this quite often, or has done anyway. He says that he focuses on individual brilliance as it would ensure that the rest of the team benefit too.He is obsessed with scoring goals. Absolutely obsessed with individual glory.
Yeah I have no idea why people say that as a criticism. It's a talent to be able to make so many chances for yourself and get so many shots away. Would rather a team who takes too many shots then one who puts 81 crosses into the box, that's for sure.I am so bored of this " he takes so many shots" argument. He takes more shots in one game on his own than we do as a team collectively. I'd much rather have a player in the team who would take a crack whenever he could rather than the boring build up we try to get ourselves into a better position.
I would take a "wasteful" player who scores over a goal a game...It's called being wasteful, and it's not really a talent to create space to take so many shots...Luca Toni has taken more shots than probably 99% of European footballers this season
Cristiano Ronaldo after the match against Schalke:
• Cristiano Ronaldo scores his 10th and 11th Champions League goal in the season. 6 Appearances, 11 Goals.
• Cristiano Ronaldo got his 3rd Champions League assist.
• Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored against every team he has faced for Real Madrid, except against Dinamo Zagreb (46 out of 47).
• Cristiano Ronaldo (72) has now more assists than Mesut Özil (71) for Real Madrid.
• Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 25 goals in 24 AWAY Champions League appearances for Real Madrid.
• Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 46 Champions League goals in 46 Appearances for Real Madrid.
• Cristiano Ronaldo (11) is 3 goals shy of Lionel Messi's Champions League goal record of 14 Goals.
• HISTORY - Cristiano Ronaldo is the 1st player in all history of Champions League to score 10+ goals in 3 consecutive seasons.
• HISTORY - Cristiano Ronaldo is the 1st player in Real Madrid’s history to score 14+ braces in a European competition.

"It's a talent to be able to make so many chances for yourself and get so many shots away."Luca Toni ?!? great comparison, a 36 striker that's well past it, and whose shot conversion is probably nowhere near Ronaldo's anyway.
2 goals and two assists tonight i wish i could be here saying the same about a United player yesterday, it would mean we would have won. It's called being wasteful, and it's not really a talent to create space to take so many shots...Luca Toni has taken more shots than probably 99% of European footballers this season
funny enough, ronaldo has a 14.6% conversion rate and luca toni has a 16% conversion rate.Luca Toni ?!? great comparison, a 36 striker that's well past it, and whose shot conversion is probably nowhere near Ronaldo's anyway.

It isn't a talent? Strange how more players can't do it.It's called being wasteful, and it's not really a talent to create space to take so many shots...Luca Toni has taken more shots than probably 99% of European footballers this season
That first goal when he smashed it in with his left ----- does he have a weaker foot? He has smashed them in with his left with such precision and accuracy.
Dude is a beast, physically the Lebron James of football.
My prediction that he will go down as the 2nd greatest player of all time behind Messi is looking better and better every day. He's not human.
The past couple of years Ronaldo has been better than Messi. So I'd say they're about on par over their careers so far.
You can argue Messi is a little younger, but not by much,
past couple of years? it's just been this year and the last half. he's been outstanding and very close, but not better for a 'couple' of years. The past couple of years Ronaldo has been better than Messi. So I'd say they're about on par over their careers so far.

When is the last time one of our wingers received the ball like this, beat his man and just stuck it?!
We're Man Utd and our wingers haven't done anything even approaching close to attempting this all season - with the possible exception of that one Young goal.
New defence, midfield and attack needed if RVP fecks off. Happy days.
What you've done is basically compared 2014 to 2007.To be fair, if Mancini could do it, I am certain any decent winger could do it...
2007 Champions League knock-out stages, reminds me a lot of Cristiano's goal for the obvious reasons. Mancini certainly pulled off the scissors better.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ronnie surpasses Messi very soon. Making him the GOAT.
Not sure if I understand what you're on about, but in 2002 Robinho - like Mancini and Cristiano - made a mockery of a defender with his stepovers...What you've done is basically compared 2014 to 2007.

It will never happen, Ronaldo simply isnt in that mould which are usually referred to as greatest of all time. Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Di Stefano and Messi, all these players share one thing in common - they are very complete attacking players. They could do everything and actually did a lot more than Ronaldo does over 90 minutes. All those players had great scoring ability and creativity but most importantly the ability to dominate a game by being at the heart of it the whole time. Ronaldo would always be in the bracket of the likes of Eusebio, Puskas, Ronaldo Fenomeno, etc, which isn't a bad company to have but the ones who would affect a game mainly through their goal threat despite having other qualities while the former group could assume most roles needed to influence a game and even if they don't score they would be able to tilt the game in the favour of their side.Unless he ends up winning more Ballon d'Ors than Messi I don't see how that's even possible.
Rubbish post.Huntelaar, Luca Toni, Inzaghi, C Ronaldo...
