From the bringronaldohome.org website, the "Why Ronaldo?" page.

"When Ronaldo jumps, he generates 5G of G-force on take-off – this is five times the power of a cheetah in full flight. This enables him to reach heights of 44cm in the air from a standing start and 78cm with a run-up – 7cm than the average NBA player."

I not even a supporter but I love cheetahs so I'm very tempted to pledge...

Oh feck they want £100 million now! These scummers, I mean scammers will be getting a lot of idiots' hard earned cash with this ploy it seems...

I reckon we should replace the Ferguson tribute on the top of the page with a jersey counter for Ronnie's return.

Likewise it should replace the title counter at Old Trafford.

What if Ronaldo doesn't want to come home?

You get 7 of your 10 pounds back... If you're lucky.

However I think it's a good idea. It raises the awareness (hopefully) among idiots. And it's better to be tricked for 10 (or 3) pounds, than big money you can't afford to lose..

This is most likely a scam, although I must say I have thought in the past that if United fans around the globe chipped in just a couple of quid each, we could buy anyone we wanted. Dunno what happens regarding wages though, perhaps people will set up a direct debit of £2 a month or someting!

Off topic, but does anyone remember the bloke who set up the Million Dollar website or whatever it was called? He sold of pixels at 1 dollar a piece - made himself a million bucks

That one was not a scam though, because he sold exactly what he advertised.

If we want Ronaldo back, then I'll have to buy one to make it happen.

In April I was at the Weta workshop/studio in Wellington, New Zealand (where they made the Hobbit and LOTR props). There I bought a small soft toy of Gollum. Barely a month later and David Moyes is our new manager. Coincidence?

Therefore me buying a Ronaldo shirt now would fit in nicely with the transfer window opening and us therefore landing Ronaldo.

The FAQ is fantastic
What happens if Manchester United don't buy Ronaldo?

There will be huge disappointment and fun will be returned to fans less administration fees which are mostly made up of PayPal fees and auditing fees.

Also had a look at their twitter account. they tweeted someone: "our team will be with you shortly" Can't believe some people are gullible enough to actually give them money.

Won t be surprised if there are a couple of scousers behind the scene...they can be incredibly good at this stuff..

Actually that's quite a good shout. Probably some Liverpool fans on RAWK on a WUM.

Yes, I'm linking to the Daily Star.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football...Cristiano-Ronaldo-with-post-tax-300k-a-week-/

£300,000 a week after tax would cure any remaining home sickness he may or may not have.

If they do this, with a 75% tax rate in France? That means paying £400,000 a week, which is £1.6 million a month, which is £19.2 million a year around about. Sign him on a likely 5 year contract which makes close to £95 million in total, plus an apparent £80 million transfer fee, which equates to £170 million, and then include agency fees which are most likely with money-whorge Mendes, could be as much as £5 million for all we know, equating to a total bill of £175 million (a fun guess)? That my friends is a lot of money.

If they have a 75% tax rate then a salary of £300,000 a week after tax would mean they have to spend roughly £1.2million a week on him, not £400,000!

Ok after recalculating, PSG would be paying over £300 million in total for Ronaldo if they paid him £300k post tax. Their tax rate is 75% for top earners isn't it?
