We don't get money from shirt sells, do we?

 I completely forgot! As apparently, did the people who put all that time and effort into making that website and publicising it.

Of course, if we did buy Ronaldo we would earn shirt money from it, because it would significantly boost what we could demand from Nike when the deal comes up for renewal. But it certainly means that a scheme like that one doesn't work. Unless they expect Nike to buy Ronaldo for us. :wenger:

Not that it's a huge deal (well it might be in terms of sales) but if he came back, do you reckon CR7 is automatically back? Or does he take another number and let Tony own that shirt haha.

Neville just said he knows players who left for Madrid and they always end up wanting to come back.

It's on!!

He could be talking about Beckham, RVN or even that cnut Heinze.

CR10 ;)

Lets not forget no.9 is still available too.

Please take that shirt off him, would be nice to see someone worthy of the number back in it

That would literally crush any confidence that Valencia had left in the tank. We might as well sell him as I can imagine him making no more contributions after having a torrid season then losing one of the most valued numbers on a United shirt. Can't see Ronnie wearing any other number mind you, that one season in Madrid where he wore #9 was just wrong.

He'll demand it, Ronnie with any other number is just plain wrong and the ego that he is... he wouldn't want it any other way. Valencia number or no number just isn't making the contributions worthy of a United winger in my opinion.

We wouldnt care about Valencia in the slightest if Ronaldo was pushing through a move to United. It'd be his number 7 before Valencia got to meet David Moyes

Oh no, I wouldn't care either. I am grateful of what Valencia did in those two great seasons he had for us, but if Ronnie came knocking and wanted his number back, he'd do well to accept and move back to #25, and Powell can find another number too. CR7 is one of the biggest brands in the world, and would make more in a week in shirt sales than Valencia would have made in his lifetime.

Oh god he was actually being serious, I thought there was going to be a joke in the end. This is the sort of thing you do if your club is in turmoil by making that sort of video.

This is what they mention in the "why Ronaldo?" section:

When Ronaldo jumps, he generates 5G of G-force on take-off – this is five times the power of a cheetah in full flight. This enables him to reach heights of 44cm in the air from a standing start and 78cm with a run-up – 7cm than the average NBA player.

This is embarrassing.

I'd love Ronaldo to come back like most United fans, but that really was cringey. It didn't seem real, seemed like a piss take. Embarrassing.

Bullshit. Cheetahs can't fly.
