Appreciating that they are Barcelona papers, rumours suggest CR is unhappy with his inability to maintain all of his image rights in any possible renewal with RM (Exp. 2015) and that he'd prefer not to renew if the club won't budge on that point. No idea if it's true but I know RM are well known for their imaging rights that they profit a great deal from, hence Galactico policy having some fiscal merit, if nothing else.
Not sure if that ultimately means he'll be able to push a transfer but with Mou exiting, I imagine the club will be intent on making sure CR is happy as Perez will seek to avoid an end to the circus - if only briefly

It doesn't look too complicated. Fans pledge to buy a £55 United shirt if Ronaldo is purchased by the club. The theory being that if enough pledge, then the money will cover the entire cost of the purchase.
I don't know how much of each £55 actually covers the cost of manufacturing the shirt, but even assuming it cost nothing, 1.09 million fans would have to pledge to raise £60million (which I think is around the value most place on Ronaldo now). So it's an idea that could never work.
Add to the fact we don't even know if he wants to come or what sort of wages he wants, it's just a dream concept really.

Agreed. He'd be in competition with Hernandez and RVP. Hernandez is the more efficient goalscorer, and RVP is a significantly better all-round number 9. So why would we waste all that money?
