So Ronaldo didn't say "I stay" last night?

I demand an answer!

If you look on the previous page there is a quote directly from Ronaldo to a reporter from the Daily Mail, he said "Rooney out, Ronaldo in".

Marca quoting the Mail. Mail dint get a scoop on Fergies retirement so printing bullshit transfer story. They have Photoshop Rooney's head on a Chelsea shirt in the same article.

Marca

"After Ferguson's decision to leave the bench for United's season finale in England dare to assure that the next destination of Cristiano Ronaldo will ... Manchester.

So says the Daily Mail on its cover: "After an incredible day that saw the departure of Ferguson and Moyes arrived to replace him, now ... off Rooney, Ronaldo inside."

According to this newspaper, the England striker seeks a change of scenery and the arrival of CR7 says David Gill, the United chief executive, met in Madrid with Jorge Mendes to study the future of Ronaldo."

Ronaldo's indirect free kick goal against Malaga was potentially the worst ever attempt I've seen at defending one of those situations.

Facing one of the best strikers of a ball in the world, cover only half the goal, and give him a huge gap to aim at from no distance at all? Seriously?

I saw that too. What's worse is the keeper then ran towards Ronaldo and covered the side of the goal where about 8 of his own players were. What the feck was he doing?

I sincerely hope he's in Madrid because of Falcao instead of Ronaldo, don't fancy splashing out stupid money for the latter when we could spend it more wisely across other areas.

Though I'm inclined to believe this is all BS.

I hope he's there for both of them.

Sounds a bit obvious saying it, but if it comes down to deciding between Ronaldo and Falcao, Ronaldo every single time. Aside from the difference in ability and the fact that Ronaldo has already played for United in this league, I am a little unsure as to whether we would fit both Van Persie and Falcao nicely into the same line up. An orthodox 442 would surely leave a great void between this midfield and attack, and most other formations are unlikely to get the most out of at least one of them. You'd need to start looking at playing 3 in the middle, 2 up top and someone like Kagawa behind them - a nice prospect but it depends how much Moyes would want to experiment with that. There's no room really for too much width other than that provided from full backs and central players drifting out wide there.

Ronaldo...that would be a lot more simple. I don't know, they're both probably pipedreams but, just on the off chance that everything isn't a load of bollocks, I think Ronaldo would be the no-brainer in that situation.

The daily mail are the only ones printing this story.....I just can't see him coming back here but you never know.....I could see him ending up at Bayern

Who was Gill supposed to have met in Madrid? Jorge Mendes? Isn't it likely he was there for further discussions regarding Nani's contract?

More likely to be PSG IMO. I doubt Bayern could pay the kind of wages PSG could.

But i think the most likely scenario is him staying where he is.

Doesn't Jorge Mendes have loads of people on his books? If anything, a part of me this morning thought it was Mourinho.

Dont know why your so certain he was in a Madrid anyway. Is it not highly likely he was working on Moyes contract.. Wasnt he on MUTV yesterday?

How can he be on TV one day and in Madrid the very next?

Madrid is an extremely short flight, if he had to be there within 24 hours, I'm sure he'd be able to do it by private jet.

I always find it hard to believe where journalists manage to get these stories from, that Gill is in Madrid? Unless they have photographic proof he was there, it's hard to believe that he was.

A crazy amount, a lot of the big names that have passed through the Portuguese league in recent times seem to be with him or his organisation.

it's the hope i can't stand.

Can see Rooney going, but i'd say it's far more likely someone of the like of Leon Osman arrives than Ronaldo!

The feck is wrong with you muppets? Seriously. Moyes decent to good players and uses a few good players such as Osman and obviously to a lesser extent Gibson and suddenly you're acting like he's going to fecking sign them for United. Stop being pathetic, he's not some moron that's out of touch with football. He did the best he could on a budget at Everton and managed to actually get some good players playing under him.

He's now at basically the biggest club in the world and can sign almost any player he wants. This idea that he's going to start signing average or decent players like Osman is fecking ridiculous.

Amen to that. Saved me writing it out. We'll still be in for the biggest players in the world, same as we always have been.

I have seen this scenario several times in my professional life. The board start off tough setting an example by signing someone big. The rest of the signings will just be PURE SHIT. They will sign up Ronaldo to shut the most negative fans up, and then the will use that signing as an alabi whenever he signs someone shit as Osman.

If we signed Ronaldo and Osman, i'd be bloody delighted.
