The longevity of Ronaldo might just be the tie breaker to settle the debate once and for all.
But Messi now > Ronaldo 2 years ago.... so who's to say he's gonna even win that?

I think it’s more on team specific, whether the team is more open to attack, or more on defensive. For example, Barca has scored 80 league goal this season, by far the most in La Liga due to their traditional attacking style of play... but the 2nd most scoring team in La Liga only has 67, then 61, 58, 51.. last one is 26.All of Serie A’s top 6 have scored 60+ goals, only two of Spain’s top 6 have. Defensive Serie A stopped being a thing a long time ago
I don’t if there’s any record he still need to break, maybe the international one? But he is only 6-7 goals behind so he is going to break it soon.Ronaldo will play until his 40 if that's what he needs to hold or break some record. Meanwhile, i see the counterpart some day simply waking up and think about retirement to spend his time with his family.

Whereas in Serie A, first team scored 79, then 74, 74, and Juventus has 67... while the last team has 37.
Think about it for a moment. Why wouldn't you want Ronaldo in the team over Martial and Cavani?Ronaldo would be a circus and he'd have it written into his contract that he has to start every game in his favourite position.
If he dropped his wage demands to 300k a week you might give it a few minutes thought, but we all know he won't want to come that bad.

I would hope not. Especially if Cavani is staying for another season. Let some other gulliable mug pay his stupidly high salary.So...
Do we think that if Juventus really miss out on Champions League football next season is Ronaldo back to Manchester possible?
They're playing a huge game vs. Milan tonight (who may also miss out on UCL - if they lose).
Ronaldo plays every minute he wants to, he picks his games.I’d take him back in a second, could he and Cavani rotate the ST position? One plays 60mins, the other comes on for the 30, then reverse for the next match?
He's on 118 goals for us. He needs 37 more goals to enter our top 10 list and overtake the likes of Ole, Herd, McClair, RvN and Scholes.I’d take him back in a second, could he and Cavani rotate the ST position? One plays 60mins, the other comes on for the 30, then reverse for the next match?
Yes please.
Ronaldo is oddly under rated on here. If we’d had him this season we’d of won the league.

To me, the answer is no. We should not take that gamble. As ridiculous as it sounds, he's a gamble. It's fairly likely that he'd come in a score goals, albeit he probably wouldn't contribute so much to the team's overall play. Eventually, though, notwithstanding this daft narrative that he'll play at the very top level until he's 40, someone's going to get stuck with a guy on astronomic wages, who isn't scoring the goals he once was and who is incapable of recognising the diminishing of his own powers or the reduction in status. Do you take a punt and hope that that doesn't happen in the season or two he'd be here?
Messi has always been the better footballer out of the two. The has never been a tie so no tie breaker, if you ask most true neutrals with no link to Man utd, Real Madrid, Juventus or Portugal. The longevity of Ronaldo might just be the tie breaker to settle the debate once and for all.

One of Cavani's big positives this season is his insane workrate, in stark contrast to Martial and Rashford. Losing that would set us back as a team, even if Ronaldo ends up scoring more.
I mean, it’s been probably the most debated thing in the entire sport over the past 10 years, so I’d disagree that most see it as clear cut as you do. Some prefer Ronaldo, others prefer Messi. But if one was to burn out at 34, and the other played at the top until 40, that would hold a lot of sway, was my point.Messi has always been the better footballer out of the two. There is no doubting Ronaldo as a goalscorer, one of the very best in history but Messi is just as good a goalscorer and is far better at everything else.
Nope. This is true according to non neutrals. But ask many neutrals, and Messi comes out on top, no contest.I mean, it’s been probably the most debated thing in the entire sport over the past 10 years, so I’d disagree that most see it as clear cut as you do. Why should we give him a final payday? Loved him when he was here but he gave up his best years to Madrid and is not the player he used to be.
Can tell you’re a new member, Ronaldo vs Messi is probably the topic on this forum that gives the mods the most aggro. No chance it’s just the media.Nope. This is true according to non neutrals. But ask many neutrals, and Messi comes out on top, no contest.
And the debate is created by the media who always want something to write about.
