If Juventus really miss out, I believe Ronaldo would be happy to lower his wage to find any suitable club which has CL football next season. Afterall, his Instagram account is earning more than his wages at Juventus anyway, just make a few most posts there, he would earn back all the difference in wages. (I’ve heard he earn more than 1m per each advertised post in Instagram, so 50 posts per years he would earn over 50m, easy money)

There’s a debate, but from my experience reading various football boards, the ratio is usually 2:1 or thereabouts in favour of Messi, which is pretty decisive tbh.

Random Twitter polls seem to back up my experience, so did the one on this board, which is ostensibly more pro-Ronaldo than, say, an Ajax or Dortmund board for instance.
There are countless arguments and stats you can make to back up your case for either, but I don’t think Messi having an edge with the football public at large is questionable.

I think we need to look at this larger polls to get to see the bigger picture. The sky sports one you’ve posted (around 150k votes) shows 55% favours Messi vs 45% favours Ronaldo, while the Lineker one (390k votes) under same link you’ve post shows around 60% favours Messi to 40% on Ronaldo. I think these are about the right figure I’ve seen in most major polls over the years.
But it really depends on what kind of polls you looking at, for example, this poll is one of the latest and biggest yet I’ve seen (480k votes), where Ronaldo is ahead:
So it’s never as clear cut as you’ve made out to be. It’s all selective, people tend to read into what they believed most.
You’re right, it’s not. Virtually every poll I’ve ever seen favours Messi to a greater or lesser degree. The Messi v Ronaldo website poll also has Messi ahead IIRC. I think that once they both retire, Messi’s reputation will grow even further and he will definitely be remembered as the better player, because the magic in his game will linger long in the memory.
The problem with that last poll is that by introducing 2 other options, you created variables. So the question shifted from ‘who do you think is better out of A/B’ to ‘which is the best, A,B,C or D?’. A person may think Messi is the better footballer than Ronaldo yet have Pele/Maradona above both, not quite the same thing.

I am not saying this concludes anything, but that’s just the nature of poll, bear in mind Ronaldo has by far the biggest following in social media too, so it’s not really exactly a shock if some major polls results favours Ronaldo.

You have a similar discussion, oftentimes just as toxic, in tennis, but none but the most hardcore Nadal/Djokovic fan would refuse to admit that Federer is the most popular player.

Well he won GOAT in the biggest and most recent poll, ahead of Messi. So this is what it’s is, nothing more nothing less. Not that I agree with the poll itself, of course there are many variables (those vote for Maradona may prefer Messi over Ronaldo, for instance). But I am just saying, if you read so much into this kind of poll, you just have to accept the reality of such results happening too, even if you don’t like it.
I think we would have to trust Ole and the rest of the transfer committee on this one. They got it right with Cavani and I've no doubt that we wouldn't have touched him had he not completely convinced them that his appetite was still there.

Exactly. He moved to Juventus to win a CL with a 3rd separate club in 3 different leagues; I don't see why he would come back to England where he already conquered in his eyes.
I can see him going to PSG, I can maybe imagine Ronaldo himself begging Bayern to buy him on a single year contract (doubt bayern would be interested), finally sticking to Italy or moving back to Portugal depending on how the euros go.
