Jaysus mate. You just can't help it.

If you say rest of the rats you are insinuating the main person mentioned is a rat as well. Old Loadsamoney needs to stop bragging.
To be fair if someone is trying to say Ronaldo wasn’t calling Rooney a rat then I’d question if English were that posters first languageNot really. Possibly ambiguous, especially with English not being his first language, but you really can't rule that out from what he said.
I know if I had said those words I'd be including Rooney.
That's without factoring his general conduct throughout the interview and things like not shaking Neville's after he criticised him.
Tbf it’s not insinuating, it’s stating it directly by use of implication. If you say ‘Donald Duck and the other ducks’, that means that Donald Duck is a duck, and so are the other ducks. If you say ‘Mickey Mouse and the other ducks’, you hear that this is wrong.
If he however had said, ‘The rat Di Maria and the rat Fernandez didn’t criticise me, but Wayne Rooney and the other rats did’, he would have left open a very small possibility that Wayne Rooney was not a rat.
Calling people who criticise you ‘rats’ is also a very narcissistic, aggressive and dangerous way to talk.
To be fair we got like 2 years of Ronaldo elite form while going through 3/4 years of developing him. Ronaldinho didn’t need developed so if he stayed here 4/5 we would have had consistent, legendary performances for a lot longer in a Utd shirt imoThat's bonkers mate. He'd have to have done a lot to better Ronaldo's first spell here.
Lost in translation?
He was speaking English.
Is your English worse than his?He clearly wasn’t grouping Rooney as a rat, it’s lost in translation.
I'd love to see Ronaldo try and call rooney a rat to his face and see if he's not picking his fake horse dentals up off the floor.

Ronaldo is taller and fitter. As Rocky said in one of his movies this is not a pie contest.
If this thread descends into an argument about who would win in a fight out of Rooney and Ronaldo then it needs a spot in the classics.
Phil Bardsley would spark em both.
Ronaldo is taller and fitter. As Rocky said in one of his movies this is not a pie contest. However I do believe that his former team mates had learnt a thing or two about this. Ronaldo has zero respect apart from himself. TBH it hasn't surprised me at all. The way he conducted himself during the 'I'm a slave saga' was clear testament of that

I agree that he shouldn't have done it, he's obviously been deeply hurt by the alleged mistrust and disrespect. Now that he has, I look and what factual statements he's made (from his point of view) and ignore the slandering of individuals. The club hasn't shown the ambition of clubs like Real, nobody dares to talk about it publicly. The attitude of our players is also very accurate, just look at the likes of Martial and Sancho. I don't agree with the way Ronaldo did it, but he's right on this account...
And what good does it do to bring Ronaldo on with 3 minutes remaining? I agree with Ronaldo here that the manager at some point tried to make a statement, that he is the boss. I for one think ETH actually lacks capabilities in the emotional department. He's a good manager but man management capabilities is still very much TBD.
Definitely. Ronaldo is fit but Rooney was a warrior. There was that one clip of him amusingly getting knocked out but he used to box and was always fearless.I like the direction this thread is taking.
Would Rooney take Ronaldo in a fight? Absolutely. Ronaldo can't do anything outside of football. And he's a blouse.

First of all I don't think Ronaldo meant Rooney when he said Rats. He mentioned Rooney and then mentioned 'and the rest of the rats', he probably meant the others as being rats and Rooney by himself. Anyone who thinks Cristiano would stand a chance against Rooney needs their heads checking. He’s all show.If this thread descends into an argument about who would win in a fight out of Rooney and Ronaldo then it needs a spot in the classics.

The problem with this interview is, nothing of significance came out. I don't see the point of the interview.
The only thing he's managed to achieve is, get people to turn on him. Sad.

Keano would knock both you and Ronaldo out.I thought that post was silly. However I find people who think that footballers who have a reputation to be tough on the pitch can simply thrash anyone is silly especially when they are old and clearly out of form. The same comments tend to be thrown on Roy Keane's direction. FFS he's a 50year old+, 5ft11 guy who had his shares of injuries not fecking Wolverine.
It’s pretty simple all of this when it comes down to it.
if Ronaldo is in the team every week this interview never happens. He doesn’t criticize ETH, the Glazers or any of the rest of it.
so it is only self serving petulant bollocks from a man who can’t accept he’s on the way down.

I think it's time this thread turned into a Ronaldo vs Rooney fistfight discussion
Right? I watched both parts and learned absolutely nothing. Even when it came to the pre season fiasco he explicitly stated he didnt want to go into details. Like, this was a platform for him to apparently tell what actually happened from the start of pre season until his last game. What was said, what was going on in the background... and what did he actually tell? That his daughter was ill, that the hierarchy "didnt believe him" (even though he put a post up on IG thanking the club and staff for their support) and he even went on to say it was actually the Press and Media that didnt believe him in the end anyway. We also learnt that he didnt like being bought on for 3 minutes.
YET when poked for further details he wouldnt go into it. So out of all of it the only thing I came away any wiser about was that his daughter had Bronchitis!

I honestly dont think Rooney gives many fecks what Ronaldo thinks about him.

On the second point, Rooney would knock Ronaldo spark out, let's be real. Idc how fit and tall Ronaldo is and how fat Rooney is.
Smart? All it will do is put off any of the potential suitors when it comes to finding a new club. I would say it’s the opposite of smart, and purely self indulgent. The only right response to this interview would be mutual agreement to terminate Ronaldo's contract right away. There is no foundation of trust between ETH and Ronaldo anymore and with this only one reason we have to let him go. Think about if Ron still in the team and ETH got asked and challenged all his decisions on Ron in every single game, no way we could play well in that pressure.
Some posts keep downplaying this interview and call it "not that bad". It is really that bad. We could call Ron childish / narcissistic or whatever excuse to justify his venting out in public , but at the end of the day the fact is that Ron did not agree with ETH's disciplines and his tactics nor able to perform the needed level to guarantee his starter, while not accepting his role as rotation option and claiming "he was not respected" . So the only solution is let him go. I believe that's what he wants .
With this interview, he successfully turns the narrative from "too old to guarantee starter and be swept out of door" to "victim of poor management and owner who only cared about business instead of sports" . Very bold and smart move . Well played.
Not only him but also the rest of the rats. Which makes Rooney a rat.
