I can’t say I am disappointed, because to be disappointed Means I had any hope or expectation from Ronaldo in the first place.

Growing up watching Ronaldo in his first stint here, I use to think, why is this man so childish and so arrogant. He would sit on the pitch and sulk if he doesn’t get his way, always having a moan. There were a lot of Man united fans who would defend him, he is the best player in the world, he won us the championships league(although he missed his penalty), while he was asking to leave and calling himself a slave.

Fast forward to 2021 and he is still a Man child. Watching him last season was so uncomfortable, seeing him throw tantrums to referees, his teammates, his manager, in his late 30’s was embarrassing to watch. However you learnt to tolerate him because he was scoring goals, although I am in the minority that he did not have a great season. Again the Ronaldo fans came out in force with blaming everyone but Ronaldo. We have a weak midfield, he is not getting the service he needs.

This season, doesn’t turn up for preseason, leaves game Twice, Can’t hold up play, Can’t control a ball to save his life, Can’t score a goal. Now he is deciding to give Silly interviews with that absolute D**k Piers Morgan.
Most frustrating thing about that interview was that he is so up his own bum hole, he can’t see how ridiculous he sounds. Oh look, I am so good looking, poor me my manager is always disrespecting me, poor me look at Gary Neville doing his job, then to go and call Rooney a rat? Shocking.
I hope I never get to see this Arrogant narcissist in a Man United shirt again and I hope after Qatar, he has his tail between his legs.
Oh and I hope Messi wins the World Cup with Argentina after Portugal loses all their Group matches to Ghana, South Korea and Uruguay.

I thought that post was silly. However I find people who think that footballers who have a reputation to be tough on the pitch can simply thrash anyone is silly especially when they are old and clearly out of form. The same comments tend to be thrown on Roy Keane's direction. FFS he's a 50year old+, 5ft11 guy who had his shares of injuries not fecking Wolverine.

I'm not going by how tough he was on the pitch, Rooney actually boxes. If you box, you would know an untrained bitch like Ronaldo would not stand a chance in a fight unless he's got one of his dumbbells to throw at rooney to keep him off

Why are we all talking about fisticuffs? Lets set them both down to do an IQ exam and see what happens.

I think Rooney'd take him in a IQ test competition and all. Ronaldo is very very stupid.

Would Ronaldo beat Rooney in quiz about Japanese cinema?

No he said "Rooney and the other rats". Which again, because of the intricacies of the language can be taken both ways either Rooney is included or he was pointing Rooney out and then calling the others rats depends entirely on your interpretation only Ronaldo really knows for sure.
He said rest.

Rooney shits on Ronalod when it comes to Japanese cinema.

And everything else. Including football.

Roy Keane was a boxer before he got into football. Certainly wouldn't want to fight him despite his size.

I regret Ronaldo ever got the opportunity to wear our club's shirt after he did this. I wish he had never signed for us, not even the first time round.
Then there’s a good chance we don’t win the PL 3x in a row or the CL in 08.

The sparring picked up pace, until Wayne – still a United player at this point – was dealt a knockout punch.

“He just walked into a jab,” Phil continued. “He was only out for a couple of seconds but we were all panicking – what’s going on here?

He doesn't seem to be a very bright boxer isn't he? Now add a couple of years to that and some 30 kgs.

Yeah but not botox and what not. Hair transplants? That's debatable as well.

Ah so. You’re right I suppose. Travelware and such.

Ronalod can’t even grow a beard though.

So when can we expect a statement from the club now the full interview has been aired.

Would be glorious seeing the United tweet announcing he's been suspended indefinitely

Bardsley was an amateur boxer and Rooney was probably pissed and all.

If I were Rooney I think I'd be more annoyed by Morgan.

Watching the interview its Morgan who seems to have the biggest problem with Wayne.

Swerving way off topic for a second - someone shared a photo of a before and after with Zac Efron. Jesus wept the man looks like something out of Team America World Police.

Anyway as someone pointed out the fact Ronaldo didnt want to give any example of the disrespect from Ten Hag leaves me suspicious that hes bullshitting.

Holyfield got humiliated by Belfort and he was a better boxer/in form then Keane/Rooney are. Age matter mate as does keeping oneself fit.

Inappropriate Behavior

Not if you’re a ladyboy bitch like Ronalod.

This, it’s how you interpret it thank you I didn’t explain it right, but it’s no surprise the ones who interpret it differently tbh.

Mohammed Ali and Bruce Lee were equally infuriating when speaking but they could hit hard. Wasn't Ronaldo raised in one of the poorest areas in Portugal? Surely he must have had his share of fighting. He was a troubled boy as well having thrown a chair to a teacher when he was 14

Didn’t watch the interview. Was the autistic kid that he assaulted last year brought up? Was that the club’s fault too?

Bruce Lee was just an actor. Huge myth.

Ronaldo thought he was being smart in the interview by constantly appreciating the fans, talking about his love for the club that made him chose United over City & criticizing the Glazers but did not realise he would negate all that by attacking the likes of Neville, Rooney & most importantly ETH.
Anyone that has actually seen ETH talk from the time he joined United can see that he has always said the right things when it comes to Ronaldo. All through the pre-season he supported Ronaldo. When it was obvious that Ronaldo was trying to engineer a move out of Old Trafford and it was not happening, ETH acted like we do not want to sell and that Ronaldo is very much a part of our plans.
When the whole media was criticizing Ronaldo for leaving early at the Sociadade game, ETH was the one who pointed out that several players left and that Ronaldo should not be singled out. When he didnt bring on Ronaldo for the City game, instead of coming out and saying that He does not trust Ronaldo to have made any sort of difference, he tried to protect him by saying he did it out of respect.
Maybe asking Ronaldo to come on for 2 mins during the Spurs game was not required and maybe it was ETH sending Ronaldo a message but that does not justify Ronaldo walking out. Ronaldo was the one who made it into a big issue by walking off. If he had even just sat there sulking, it could have been brushed under the rug as passion, etc. He pushed ETH in a corner and ETH had not choice other than to fine him and then he does an interview and pretends like it is shocking that he got suspended.
On a side note, hope he made up that story about his son being surprised that Ronaldo was suspended. He should not be teaching a 12 year old who wants to have a football career that it is ok to disrespect your manager in front of everyone and not even regret it. Also, does Ronaldo realise that he negates his own Instagram post where he apologized for his behaviour at the Spurs game by now claiming in the interview that he is not really sure if he regrets what he did.

I reckon Vitor Belfort has a bit more about him in a scrap than Ronaldo.

I reckon Holyfield was a far better boxer then Keane was. Look I don't know who would win and quite honestly I don't want to see a fighting between our former footballers (I don't mind seeing Michael Owen being beaten to a pulp by Tyson Fury though). All I am saying is that age, form and previous injuries sustained do matter.

Didn’t watch the interview. Was the autistic kid that he assaulted last year brought up? Was that the club’s fault too?

Ten Hag didn't start him against FC Twente the day before and that was horrible disrespect caused Ronaldo to bravely show his feelings in the way he did.

I think lost on idiots is fair. Just not in the way you think.
It’s clear enough the interview was a meltdown of a man that can’t come to terms with the aging process, I think people are just trying to make stuff up than see it for what it really was.

They both were drunk coming from a night out and were sparring lightly it wasn't a real fight. Context is needed

Rooney is a former boxer and you don't lose those skills with age.

The likes of Roy Jones Jr is in his 50 fifties and he'd knock out any untrained civilian in fact he's about to fight a young bodybuilder in a celebrity boxing fight and if by your logic the bodybuilder should win, but we know boxing skills don't vanish with age.

I suggest you stick to football, because you have no idea about boxing.

That's fine.

I think that he also was referring to Rooney as a rat and which is the word he chose in that moment to describe pundits giving him completely justified criticism.

to be fair, it was Morgan who again brought up Rooney in this instance ... and Morgan obviously hates Rooney with a passion (and vice versa). Ronaldo just took the bait, as he constantly did during the interview. Obviously Ronaldo is a massive bellend in all of this, but don't underestimate Morgans manipulation techniques during the interview.

When a lawyer examinees a witness, they are not supposed to ask 'leading questions', ie questions that heavily suggest what the answer should be. Obviously tabloid journalists are subject to no such scruples and Morgan constantly tried to goad Ronaldo into saying more headline grabby things like 'is Rooney jealous of you?' and 'Did Ten Hag disrespect you?' etc.
Ronaldo then just agreed with Morgan's statements for the most part. Maybe they planned it that way beforehand but it's not actually a proper interview then.

All I know is that after that interview, I want anyone but Arsenal to win the title.

To be fair we got like 2 years of Ronaldo elite form while going through 3/4 years of developing him. Ronaldinho didn’t need developed so if he stayed here 4/5 we would have had consistent, legendary performances for a lot longer in a Utd shirt imo
Ronaldinho barely had 4-5 years of a peak..

Ronaldo trained MMA with Conor McGergor so Ronaldo would have the leg kicks and ground game Rooney doesn’t have, easy victory Ronaldo..

Ronaldo is behaving like a twat, but I have some sympathy for him because of how clearly deluded he is and how clear it is that he can't cope (or engage) with reality. It's like he is in a state of arrested development, and it's a bit tragic. I still hope we get rid as soon as possible for everyone's sake.

Morgan on the other hand is a exploitative, calculating, conniving leech who played Ronny and his weaknesses like a fiddle. feck him.
