Actually gutted I have to play football today! Would have loved to seen/heard the reception he gets when he walks out.

If was in reply to someone saying it's certain there was no interest. Anyway I don't know how I've attracted a stage 4 reddit atheist in a Ronaldo vs Messi thread. Did you just get your first copy of Dawkins or something ?

Does the above nothing post that change the point that your statement is a fallacy and foreverRed’s statement isn’t? Does that change the fact that you actually believe that they are similar statements?
You talk a lot, but have 0 substance. You can continue to make a fool out of yourself and show off your ignorance here

Its gonna be weird seeing him bang in goals and next to him aren't the like of vidic, or Rooney, or ferdinand. Ferdinand isn't gonna be grasping his head and motivating him, Rooney won't be there screaming. Gonna be so different, so sad but so good.

Just thinking about it but all this publicity and media coverage would have raised City's profile quite a lot if they had manage to sign Ronaldo. So, so glad they didn't manage to sign him.

I agree. This was an enormous signing in terms of keeping United as a major name and stopping City from elevating their brand to another levl.

Yeah I remember reading something a while ago about him aiming to gradually reduce his weight as he continues through his 30's in order to extend his physical peak. Pretty sure he mentioned it himself in an interview somewhere as well. To your point, he's definitely does look a lot leaner than last time he worse the shirt!

After today I definitely don't have any worry about his power.

Burst through Newcastle for that 2nd goal and yes maybe not much pressure, but I didn't get a sense the Newcastle players could even get close to him. Very big in the air as well.

He really is a phenomenal physical specimen. So lean so has the agility, but also the physicality. I'd imagine it hurts bouncing off Ronaldo

Still can‘t believe that all this happened. How all of a sudden he came back and has now effortlessly just scored two important goals immediately.

Carrick is still there as Oles assistent I guess

Sadly the complaining gits on the forum will still find something to criticize unnecessarily or complain about in times like these, but hopefully there are a few that are having this moment right now:

There was a moment in the first half where he did a few stepovers, went past his marker and took a shot from a narrow angle which inevitably hit the side netting. I laughed out loud to the shock of my other half, but for a few seconds I genuinely felt I was transported back to somewhere around 2005, watching the game with my late grandfather as a teenager.

I felt that one too. Great feeling.

Some femenist group had a plane with a flyer of the woman Ronaldo groped fly over old Trafford while the game was on.
I hope this shit doesnt drive him out of the country.

Are you serious? This is a man that used to be booed by the Madrid crowd. He has received more love this past week than he has received in the last 12 years. He'll leave when he has accomplished his goals. He will be here for at least 4 seasons.

I'm not exaggerating but it was the highlight of the game for me, the goals were just the icing on top of the icing on the cake. Ronaldo to me is personal and more than just a United legend -- he'll always be the one footballer who brought my late grandfather so much happiness and joy on his last days as his health deteriorated.
