Cristiano Ronaldo (I stay)

Ronaldo only cares about one thing, and that’s Ronaldo.

He came back last season for money and to have been heralded as United’s savour when we had further success. Now that hasn’t happened he is off to chase more trophies and continue his complete obsession with the UCL.

He played his own game last season, and whilst that looked good on paper, cumulating a healthy goal return and popping up for 5/10 minutes a game to dig United out of trouble, it was never a good fit for either parties.

I can only see him going to Bayern Munich, another league win in another country with a possible good chance at the UCL and then probably finishing at Sporting and having a go at winning the league in 5 different countries (I don’t think anybody ever done that, so another record for Ronaldo).

He probably still has delusions of grandeur that he will win another Ballon d’Or but whether that is his ego speaking or his utter professionalism and drive to win everything , only he knows.

Good luck to him!

Yesterday suddenly we seem to have got two players.
We'll see and judge.
You really believe that stuff. My god.

Suddenly we got 2 players we'd be in for weeks. Board hurried those 2 up just to satisfy Ronaldo and he'll see if he's ok with it or will still leave. He'll see and judge.

You still havent answered me about going on strike basically. Not that I expect you to.

We'll see and judge.

Maybe he's saying he wants to leave to force the owners and the club to get real and serious about transfers - we'll see and judge.
Oh i certainly don't want him to go to another PL club for sure.

Anyone who buys this is deluded. His team have found a easy excuse and are running with it.

Ten Hag might have told Ronaldo in private just recently that he intends to build a new team without him. We know how he reacted last season the few times he was subbed/left out which was pathetic. I reckon that's why he's suddenly changed his tune from "I still believe and want to stay" a couple weeks ago to the current situation.

If I were ETH, I’d get rid of him as soon as possible. I don’t believe the way CR has handled this has been with United in mind at all.

I know CR is all about CR, but if he wanted to leave, you can’t tell me that the board dicking around with transfers has been the tipping point. He’d obviously decided ages ago that he was leaving, so why wait until the day before(ish) the manager starts training.

Its so incredibly frustrating and not what ETH needs in an already stressful situation.

The player appears to have gone on strike to be fair. Does that not bother you at all?
My biggest "big no no" is that only one appears to be or rumoured to or smth like that is enough to have social media fans to turn on the player and some tabloids on leech on that - we don't know the story yet, believe the club not some random guys on the internet.

I think Wayne Rooney did something similar, if that is the case, a few years ago, threatened to leave unless we got new blood in.

Its better for all parties if he finds a new club asap.
Better for Hag, better for player recruitment in the form of a replacement and better for Ronaldo.

Sure but which UCL club is willing to be that bagholder?

United fans first and foremost.
Oh, i'm a United fan just as much as all the United fans here.
And like some of you i also agree that Ronaldo is a big narcissist but he pushes for the best from everyone - from his teammates, club and owners, and we must agree that these have been lacking during the last years.
Old Trafford is falling to pieces, the team is falling to pieces, someone is only interested in dividends.
Do i need to say more?

I want this sorted one way or another before the tour. Last thing we need is this shite when preparing for the new season. Don't care if he stays or goes, but I can't help leaning towards the latter because him and his agent know exactly what they're doing disrupting things right now.

They're both acting like absolute c*nts.
Sure Hag is a big-boy but for a so-called United legend and lover of the club you don't throw this sh*t down the instant a new guy comes in and especially on the back of a seriously awful campaign where morale is low amongst the fans.

Some serious Ronaldo haters around here. :D

Yeah, I think the hate is a bit over the top. He is not one to settle for mediocrity and Manchester United is steeped into it. A joke top to bottom for a long time. That being said, I don't particularly care if he stays or leaves, even for Chelsea, though I doubt that would actually happen. He has always looked out for himself first and foremost. I just want this resolved quickly. And he is a bit of a cnut for not making it clear he wants to leave earlier.

Firstly I love Ronaldo he’s a legend of the club and is one of the greatest players of all time to play the game.

Secondly Ronaldo looks out for Ronaldo he will do his best to do that for himself first. Hence why he is looking for a move away from Utd. He want’s to prolong his winning accomplishments be it individual or team based.

Thirdly Utd were winning the PL and CL when he was first here and his and Utd ambitions aligned perfectly then. Yes he moved away from Utd and went to Real Madrid but he had won everything here, he wanted to win more with another club that he also wanted to play for. He achieved that here wining the league, CL and Balon’dor.

Fourthly Utd will never win the league or CL with these parasites in charge of the club, best we can hope for is fourth place finish (Which would suit them) and a cup run or a win.

Fifthly Ronaldo’s and Utd ambitions don’t align with each other anymore hence him wanting a move.

Sixthly I don’t agree with Ronaldo going on strike and trying to force a move, rather he come back keep his head down do the work and when a club comes in for him let him move on. I don’t want him to go to another PL club rather he went abroad.

He’s doing us a favour and we’ll be better off without him. Get his wages off the books and get someone else in.

I'm sure there was a classier way where Ronaldo and Mendes could've handle this situation alot more better.

We agree about that, but that's not a theme here. We have a new manager and Ronaldo and his agent are disrupting everything by acting like this. So I'm not sure it's the pushing for the best for everyone. I'm sorry but you're acting like a Ronaldo fan first.

Yes it‘s weird behavior but I am the only one seriously concerned about our goal scoring if we let him go? Top 4 is an absolute must next season - to reach it you needed 75/69 goals last season. If you remove CR from the team sheet now (= 15-20 league goals less) WHO should score for us? Do you want to rely on Rashford or Elanga? Or do you really believe in some big money striker signing in the next weeks, before ETH was not even able to assess the squad? I say keep Ronaldo for the coming season, let his goals carry us far enough to do good and then do proper transfers after Erics first year here.

My worry is we won’t, certainly not a striker. I think IF he goes we’ll end up using the money saved to buy Antony.
This is the predicament he's thrown us into though. Everyone knew we had holes within the squad that needed instant attention before we even considered going for another forward.

The defence and midfield was the major priority, with the latter being a priority for god knows how long.

Many grown men on here know full well they’d cry into their CR7 duvets if he left and are desperately trying to convince everyone on here (including themselves) otherwise.
Yes, let's all fellate the man that has gone on strike and flown back to Portugal twice in the space of a few months on the eve of two extremely important moments for the club. Balls to the fact that he's the most senior player, the most highly decorated, and most highly paid player in the squad. Seriously, he sees himself as being way bigger than the club and that alone should be enough for all the Ronnie lovers to recognise that he needs to leave.
