Cristiano Ronaldo (I stay)

Wow there's a lot more Ronaldo fans posing as supposed United fans than I expected, I knew there was a few, but wow

I don't know why this is dragging. Just get him out. Martial will score more goals than Ronaldo anyway. On a serious note ,, we need to let ETH get on with his job without any of this drama.

This is quite funny, though I do think he'll end up staying. This is him negotiating his way to assured starter roles in the new manager's team. He knows he'd be the first one on the bench under a manager who won't be in the mood to mollify star egos vs keeping his job.
This is the exact reason he needs to leave. He'll start moaning and throwing a tantrum when he's benched or subbed. It's not like we are competing for top honours for next season, so having him won't make any difference in the short term.

I genuinely believe we'll score more goals compared to last season without him, even if we don't end up signing any attacker. Testament to how poor we have been last season more than anything. Of course it's not all his fault that we have been shit, but he has the potential to cause disharmony in the squad if he is here for the season.

God what silly logic. So are all footballers bad who leave and don't honour thier contract which by the way is pretty standard.
Players who leave official transfer request according to the contract, I have no problem with. Players throughing tantrums and not willing to put transfer request respecting their contract I disrespect.

 Yeah, Napoli and Milan.

That’s why he’s publicly begging and got Mendes talking with all the big clubs to try and get them to take him. Nobody wants him as of yet, which is why he’s kicking up such a fuss.

Equal parts hilarious and cringe to watch him throw himself at all the big clubs while they reject him.

I just want him out now as soon as possible.
But I am afraid that no one will pay the 15 mill or what ever we want for him and we therefore risk getting stuck with him. Or not getting him off the books before the last days of the transfer window.
However not sure who should replace him in attack. Don't think we need a direct replacement for ETH system.

Yeah he will probably score like 6 goals, dragging along his negative mimics all season. And then we wonder again why we finish 7th, well that’s what u get when you give Eric Martial and Rashford up front, instead of Haller.

Oh, i'm a United fan just as much as all the United fans here.
And like some of you i also agree that Ronaldo is a big narcissist but he pushes for the best from everyone - from his teammates, club and owners, and we must agree that these have been lacking during the last years.
Old Trafford is falling to pieces, the team is falling to pieces, someone is only interested in dividends.
Do i need to say more?

Please, no.

Because the only club potentially stupid enough to buy him are Chelsea - and even that will be going against their manager’s wishes. Are the board strong enough to let him join a domestic rival? They weren’t last summer.

Ronaldo only cares about one thing, and that’s Ronaldo.

He came back last season for money and to have been heralded as United’s savour when we had further success. Now that hasn’t happened he is off to chase more trophies and continue his complete obsession with the UCL.

He probably still has delusions of grandeur that he will win another Ballon d’Or but whether that is his ego speaking or his utter professionalism and drive to win everything , only he knows.

Good luck to him!

That's his biggest driving force but I don't think he'll end up closing the lead, nevermind tying Messi's 7. He'll retire with the 5.

Yeah, I think the hate is a bit over the top. He is not one to settle for mediocrity and Manchester United is steeped into it. A joke top to bottom for a long time. That being said, I don't particularly care if he stays or leaves, even for Chelsea, though I doubt that would actually happen. He has always looked out for himself first and foremost. I just want this resolved quickly. And he is a bit of a cnut for not making it clear he wants to leave earlier.
The most iconic and recognisable player in the world publicly wanting out, going on strike and not joining for training doesn't help the club get out of mediocrity - it does the opposite. It undermines the new manager and the rest of the players, as well as potentially spooks players we are in negotiations for. Ronaldo doing this now only serves to benefit one party - Ronaldo's.

It's certainly debatable we'll score more goals without him next year. I think we'll really struggle personally in putting the ball into the back of the net.
But the team morale and functionality will be alot better.

The quicker we get rid of this grey cloud hovering over Hag the better.

We agree about that, but that's not a theme here. We have a new manager and Ronaldo and his agent are disrupting everything by acting like this. So I'm not sure it's the pushing for the best for everyone. I'm sorry but you're acting like a Ronaldo fan first.

I respect your opinion.

Just can’t be arsed with this drama.

Love the player, he’s done it on the pitch for us and that’s all the matters…but let’s face it, as a man, he’s a complete tit.

And his mental fanboys on this site. I almost hope he joins Chelsea and scores and wildly celebrates against us just to see how his cult defends it.
They wont be defending it, they'll be celebrating too.

I hope the former United old-boys club don't come out defending Ronaldo. Just what we don't need.

Why are we still even talking about this cnut?

That name should auto correct to “cnut” - his existence to have ever played for this club has been erased from my memory.
That’s irrrlevant though. Just because he’s a Cnut doesn’t meant he wasn’t good at football. He’s a massive footballing loss which there’s no point pretending otherwise.

"Ronaldo always pushes for the best for his team, even if its Chelsea."

Feel sorry for all the young kids In Oz etc excited to see him on the tour (if he ever would have played anyway). Really cannot be arsed with football in its current state, it's just a collection of bellends. Depressing.

I'm not a hater also, on the contrary, was happy when he returned and supported him all season. But this is a dick move, if he wanted to leave he should have announced right after the season ended. Acting now means we need to change plans 4 days before the preseason tour and I wouldn't be surprised if he missed training the whole week. Yet some would say he's a pro's pro or something. He's a pro's pro when he suits him and his agenda, always acts above the club wherever he is. All right he's the best or one of the best in the world, some would say in history but that doesnt give him the right to act like a grade A primadona and to fek the club he supposedly so loves (according to his fans) like this.

Anyway I dont see him going to Bayern, they always seems sensible with their spending and transfers and getting Ronaldo would be complete opposite to that.
I wasn’t unhappy at his return, but did think it was for non-footballing reasons and might well end in tears.

There was absolutely nothing professional about the tantrum he threw when substituted v Brentford. That was just pathetic.

On the face of it this is indeed a dick move. I wonder though whether the club have known about it for some time and have been reasonably happy with it. Mendes may be a cnut, but he won’t want to jeopardise his ongoing relationship with United just for one last Ronaldo “fix”. It might suit the club to appear as the innocent and wronged party.

Could live with him joining them provided we got Kante/Werner in return

There was one Ronaldo fan boy who said he will be happy to see him score goals for ManCity. So of course they will be shouting "Ssssiiiiiuuuu" or whatever that stupid sound is when he scores against us.

With the way the club is run, we will most probs loan him out, pay half his wage as part of the loan deal with another club, then 12 months time he leaves for free.

We need to get him out ASAP. This will be a big distraction every day now and likely overshadow anything positive until it is resolved, hoping there are some positives that is!

If Chelsea are genuinely interested then we should snap their hands off. I don't think he'd suit their style of play and it may actually work out in our favour with regards to the top 4. I don't see any other club who could afford him/want him. No way him staying is good for our season considering how he's acted. Just get rid.

If he was given indefinite leave just yesterday, it was already highly unlikely he’d be at training today if it was really for family issues. If he is not back by Friday to travel on tour then I’d understand the hysteria. But at the moment, it’s just a bunch of overreacting when we don’t really know what’s going on.

Also, there’s 2 months left of the transfer window which is more than ample time to find a replacement.

Funny and strange how many top tier teams want him at the age of 37/38.
Which ones?

The only credible link seems to be with Chelsea, whose new owner seems to have Ed Woodward as his role model.

If Ronnie were happy to accept lower wages and be ok with not playing every minute of every game I’m sure there’d be plenty of interest in him.

He's the most self-absorbed footballer ever.

He's wanted to leave us now numerous times. 3 times if you count the fiasco after the 2006 WC.

He compared himself to a slave while making loads of money, starring in the world's best team and playing under the manager that helped guide him to the top of the game.

He constantly wanted pay-raises and had Mendes drum up our name in the media to secure it at Real.

In his final game at Real Madrid, mere moments after winning a 3rd successive CL, he bemoans how it's likely his last game making it all about him yet again.

He waited until the last week to fully seek an exit from Juventus.

Undermined Ralf(yes I know he was a shit manager for us) in public with his strop against Brentford for no reason other than to show the world he's Ronaldo and how dare someone sub him.

And now this stunt of having his agent whore him around Europe instead of making it known before the window he wanted to leave and missing practice(if he actually has a family emergency - then missing practice is completely fine).

The club should be embarrassed if they fight to keep him. Sell to anyone bar domestic rivals if any sort of offer comes in.
