I remember a United player saying Barcelona was actually his dream club a number of years before the Real Madrid interest materialised. Can't remember who said it but he mentioned that Ronaldo would talk up Barcelona in training in his younger days. Not going to happen though, he's doing exactly to Real what he did to United last summer.
I don't really think Madrid was ever Ronaldo's dream club really. Even in 2006 he said he was happy joining either Madrid or Barcelona. His association with Madrid would make this move difficult but the man only cares about himself so you can never rule it out.

If Barca are so desperate for a legendary striker to score 20 + goals like Lewandowski I guess this makes sense, he would cost 40mil while Ronaldo would cost probably nothing on the same wages. From that perspective it's not the worst idea for them. That said it won't happen, this is either a journo just seeing Mendez in Barcelona and trying his luck on a good guess or a trick for Real.
