Cristiano Ronaldo (I stay)

Ronaldo has been a significant part of our media strategy even when he wasn't wearing the shirt. The club should take care not to harm the cash cow. He will eventually go this summer or next. The revenue stream should be protected.

Joel is that you?

Objectively speaking, he is still our best player last season, isn't he? So relatively speaking, he is still a key player for us, even though we have been pile of shite and he is well past his peak.
It doesn’t really matter who our best player was in a season that bad. Chelsea’s best player in 15/16 was Willian. Who gives a feck?

This shows the influence of Ronnie opening his mouth and saying he wants to leave - then things start moving!

Provided he can actually replace Lewa - more or less directly - yes.

But can he actually do that?
In my opinion, no one can, as Lewandwoski regularly scored around 50 goals per season in recent years.

But out of all available options, lets just say Ronaldo would be by far the closest thing to Lewandowski in terms of scoring goals for them.

I would wet my pants if Ronaldo went to Barca. It would be amazing and likely speed up the De Jong transfer.

i'd be delighted if the Glazers cant make money off rinsing our past anymore

This drama could have taken place weeks ago. We really are in a constant state of circus, even when we try not to be.

I just hate that everything is going to be about Ronaldo now. For a long time, Ten Hag will mostly get questions about Ronaldo instead of how he intends to build the team. It will be Ronaldo this and Ronaldo that.

This is my biggest frustration, not whether or not he actually leaves.

He was voted PL team of the season, even after having a bad season with us. So objectively speaking, he has been a key player for us (our player of the season), and key player in the PL too (PL team of the season). And traditionally speaking, we don't sell our key player/PL key player to our rivals.

Replacing him might not be that big of an issue. For a start, he has only been here one season and the team will no longer have to cater to him as it currently does. This gives ETH a degree of flexibility.

We certainly need a new attacker who will hopefully benefit the team more than Ronaldo did. Someone who will press, defend from the front and play for the team and not just himself. Ronaldo scored 18 league goals last season, almost half of which came in just three games, his contribution was over rated in my view. I'm sure we can manage to sign someone who can score 15 league goals and has higher work rate.

Carragher was right when he said last year than Ronaldo would have a great season but United will be poor.

I agree with the bold. I don't think he's been a disaster, but I wouldn't go as far as to call it a success, either. If our scouting department were worth anything they'd have a few names to replace him. Wouldn't hold my breath on that though.

If the guy wants to leave, let him go. His wages could pay another 2 players. We need to sign a striker anyway imo, if Ronny goes then it's 2 strikers? The players we got now bar Greenwood and Pogba and Ronny, finished 2nd a season ago. The biggest miss out of those 3 is Greenwood. Can ETH get a tune out of Martial? If he can along with Rashford then perhaps they won't even sign a striker!!

Can he feck off now? Just terminate his contract so we can free some wages.

His inclusion in the PL team of the season was farcical to anyone that isn’t a fanboy.

I know people were quick to dismiss it but I 100% believe signing him is the main reason the team went to absolute shit last season. He may have a massive winning mentality but he is also a grade A bell end.

He’ll be gone by the start of the tour.

Where to? No club with serious CL ambitions will consider him. Utd is the biggest club he can play for, and therefore I'd put my money on him still being with you for next season

Whatever your bias, the inclusion was still coming from official. And objectively speaking, he was still 3rd top scorer in the league, so he was still key player for us, and key player in the league. We don't sell our key player to our rival.

We’d have 100% had a better season last year without him. Not a doubt in my mind.

And I 100% believe its Sancho fault. We were 2nd without Sancho, when Rashford has been scoring goals for fun as LW. With Sancho being our first choice LW instead, and being our least productive LW too, we finished 6th.

For crying out loud can you just get out of Ronaldo's arse for once.

Where do we think he'll go?

PSG, to line up with Mbappe and Messi?

AC Milan? Nah, they’re too shrewd. Although considering their main target is

Would he take a huge wage cut to rejoin Sporting?
AC Milan? Against their current ethos. Although considering their main target is Origi, Ronaldo would be the name to put a European great back on the map and would undoubtably score goals for them.

Chelsea: The new owner probably wants it, but doubt the manager does.

RM: Would they jeprodise Bezema’s great goal scoring form to bring back their GOAT and Legend?

There is zero chance he has done what he did today without having options available. He is 100% gone.

He hasn’t gone effectively on strike and let everyone know he’ll join Chelsea to still be here next season. He has the most powerful agent in football and he will get him a move.

Chelsea move would hurt and it only really guarantees him CL football. I don’t think Chelsea are winning any major honours like league or CL next season. Bayern would be the perfect move for him. A guaranteed league title and better chance for the CL - and also away from playing in the same league as United.

As soon as he is gone the better. We are trying to rebuild a team, we don't need another saga with all the mess we are in.
The world doesn't revolve around him (although he obviously thinks it does)

In an ideal world he will join a Champions League club that gets knocked out at the group stage and then has to play against us in the Europa League.

Not many clubs he can choose from if he desires CL football. Bayern are a good shout, although do they want/need him?

I would love seeing his face when/if we beat them and for the first time in his career United fans had turned on him. Ideally in the final.

Chelsea are monitoring the situation, and the new owners are 'intrigued'.

I don't think this is brand new information, but the clip has only just been uploaded to Youtube.
