Cristiano Ronaldo (I stay)

Not saying i want Ronaldo but we're probably the best option for him CL wise unless Barca step in for him. City and Liverpool won't go for him, nor will Real, Bayern or PSG. So realistically who in Europe is left that has a better shot than us? We seem to be fantastic in cup competitions under Tuchel reaching every single final he's had available to him
I'm sure Ronaldo can't wait to lose on penalties to Liverpool.

Chelsea doesn't make a lot of sense though. They aren't getting anywhere close to the title with Liverpool and City. They might even face tough competition from Spurs for the 3rd position.

While they might have an outside chance of winning the CL, the chances are slim at best.

Bayern makes the most sense, if Lewandowski ends up leaving and Ronaldo is willing to take a pay cut. They get a good forward for a season or two, and he can win another league and have a good chance of winning the CL.
I doubt he’s that bothered Chelsea will finish 3rd or 4th next season. Pure guesswork here but I get the feeling he’s desperate to stay ahead of Messi in the all time CL top scorer charts. Quite certain he’d take an extra 6 CL goals and a group stage exit over winning a Europa League trophy.

I don’t blame him for having personal ambitions.

I do however blame him for forcing it through.

Yeah you're mad, I'd rather Ronaldo at Chelsea than Neymar. Why would you want to strengthen a rival for top 4 like that ? So Ronaldo can stay looking like a knight in shining armour to you ?
Neymar is not what Chelsea need either to be honest, forwards are very limited.

Yup. All about CL goals for him.
No one remembers runners up.

If we signed Sterling, De Ligt, Ronaldo, and 1 or 2 more we would absolutely be challenging City and Liverpool for the title. And we‘d be one of the 4-5 favorites for the CL as well. We came within a whisker of beating the eventual champions last season with no reliable goal scorer, ffs.

He can't be allowed to go to Chelsea. The reputational hit for United would be awful in terms of image.

Hell if we got a Kante/James out of it I wouldn't be in the least bit bothered. We had his best years in the Premier league

Take him then. Please.

We would want something in return so what are you willing to sacrifice for him then

Cant see Chelsea going for him and if they did, it would be an odd move for him. Bayern makes sense, nailed on to win the German league and score plenty which will be good for his "legacy".

Neymar is 10x the player current Ronaldo is. Tuchel and Neymar have a good relationship and the last time Neymar was at his best it was under Tuchel.

So he gave his best years to other clubs, constantly flirted with us as a power move for more money year in year out, came back to us only when no one was going to be silly enough to offer what he wanted.

One of the best we have ever had, but the reality is a lot less romantic then what half of the people believe, good riddance.

He’s desperate and there are limited options. Of course Chelsea makes sense. They are literally looking for a goal scorer

Maybe, maybe not.

FDJ is hanging in the balance.

Martinez who knows after the Ronaldo news. I reckon we'll have to sacrifice a signing to try get an attacker in.

The club is in a very negative place right now, I wish it weren't but that's the reality.

I'm OK with him leaving as I've said, so long as we've a suitable replacement. ETH has Antony as his replacement apparently, its marginally better than Obertan replacing him in 09.
It's not. The club is in an excellent place. You just hired a massively exciting and promising new manager and you have wonderful times ahead of you. You've got a very interesting season to look forward to, and probably some truly satisfying displays of football. Watching their team's games will be be fun and a source of pride for Man United supporters. It's all there for you.
If you could just stop obsessing about absolute nonsense all the time.

Please urge your club sign him. I will be very happy about it, seriously.

Why? Rooney actually meant it, he's probably just doing this for show. He knew we won't have CL football for two months.
Rooney possibly had good intentions for either the club, most probably himself. It’s the way they have both gone about it.

Rooney literally did it just before a game FFS

We thought the same when we signed Sancho, Varane, Ronaldo.

He demanded £500k a week to come back but now is willing to take a paycut to join another club yet he loves United

I get that about Chelsea but they're not going to win the league which is what he's looking for. Bayern is the more logical choice imo.

Didn't give a shit when he came because I thought it was a expensive PR stunt. He should leave and we should work on getting this team a decent young striker.

Chelsea have a reasonable chance of winning the champions league which is what he wants. Not the league mate.

All this noise about taking a pay cut, he's whoring himself big time. All he needs now is this:

Oh Ronnie Ronnie, you poor soul, always the selfish prick and not deserving of the fans respect. He’d go to Chelsea what an absolute clown.

After his time dealing with egos at PSG, I’m not sure how keen the Chelsea manager would be to deal with Ronaldo.
Ronaldo will stay because no one wants him or can afford to pay him.
Reality check for my favoritest player :(

I wouldn’t sacrifice anything, mate. I don’t want him here. Too much drama.

Tbf, we have a MUCH better central midfield and set of fullbacks than you did. You can’t win the league/CL with McTominay, Fred, and old Matic in midfield and AWB, Dalot, and an always injured Shaw at fullback.

You can win a league/CL with James, Chilwell, Kante, Kova, Jorginho etc. Because we just saw it 1 year ago.

Yeah, not fussed. I was excited when he joined, mostly cause of the nostalgia. But it hasn't worked out. He has always cared for himself. Fair enough, its what has made him one of the best players in the world. I'll remember his early united career fondly. But not going to shed a tear for him if he leaves. Just another player in the end.

Great timing doing it after our top CF target has joined our rivals and in the middle of negotiations for other transfers
