By any measure you want to pick, he is.The feck he is.

Arguably the greatest player ever to play for Manchester United, yes. He isn't one of Manchester United's greatest ever players. There's a subtle difference.By any measure you want to pick, he is.
Yet you're the one posting in every Ronaldo thread since the past few months. It's like your existence on this forum is based on being insecure about Messi and rushing into Ronaldo threads. Just chill out and order some Uber eats my friend.
Pretty widely accepted across the footballing world he’s one of the best to ever play.He definitely isn't by the way.
Of course. Ronaldo was top scorer for Man United and third in premier league at 37. Let's see where Messi is at, at that age.
I edited my post to clarify what I meant.Pretty widely accepted across the footballing world he’s one of the best to ever play.
clearly not now
Again, this thread isn't about the Balón d'or récord holder. Let your obsession go and stick to thread topic.
I don’t disagree with your view at all, it’s obviously a subjective view but definitely arguable.I edited my post to clarify what I meant.
Cringe levels of insecurity.
You should read the full article then, it doesn’t really paint Ronaldo in a positive light.
It’s indisputable that he is. You have never had a better it greater player put on the shirt. The feck he is.
I just read it - if anything Ronaldo's return was a catalyst that broke the awful team/squad that Woodward and Solskjaer put together.
Pogba, Cavani, Lingard, Mata, Matic entering the final year of their contract, Sancho and Varane struggling to settle - and yet somehow the whole trailer of last season's film is merely reduced to a spat between Ronaldo and Maguire.
Give. Me. A. Break.
This was the shitsandwich that Ed and Ole cooked, and I for one am so glad they're out of the picture.
He was a truly brilliant player and I don't resent him to the point of not being able to appreciate the amazing memories he gave us. However, no player who shows such a level of disrespect to the club is worthy of songs or chants. Only my opinion of course. Completely agree with your final paragraph.I don’t disagree with your view at all, it’s obviously a subjective view but definitely arguable.
my response to the original poster was in response to them saying it was cringe worthy fans were singing his name… I just think thats a strange view considering the calibre of player he has been and what he’s won here.
sure this season it might feel a little stranger considering what has happened this summer, and for clarity, I’d like to see him leave…sure he’ll get goals, but I think he’s on the whole - detrimental to the way we want to play.

God NO please help us and find a club stupid enough to take himlooks like he's staying then
The man with absolute hard on for that PSG PLAYER, knows no bounds, why on earth would you be commenting in every Ronaldo thread in here, don't reply I already know the answerAgain, this thread isn't about the Balón d'or récord holder. Let your obsession go and stick to thread topic.
Ah, ok. I wrongly thought the discussion was regarding chants this season, as I have been present at games where this has occurred. My mistake. No problem at all with chants last season.think you’re probably right, but just to be clear, it was around chants last season - not this season, unless you think he showed disrespect last season ?
id feel odd idolising him in the stands this season after the show he’s put on this summer
The man with absolute hard on for that PSG PLAYER, knows no bounds, why on earth would you be commenting in every Ronaldo thread in here, don't reply I already know the answer
Always strange position in football to be fair to have 2 of very best so close in age, talent, goals and awards very hard for either camp to let it go.It's almost like an universal law that every thread shall reduce to the same Ronaldo vs Messi bickering.
I wasnt speaking about Messi, I was replying to you claiming another posters obsession with him when yours is quite clear about the player in the thread titleWhat does Messi have to do with this thread? Wipe away those tears and keep the discussion about Ronaldo.
One day left. Hope someone is stupid enough to take him off out hands.
Best? Charlton? Scholes, Robson, Cantona, Giggs, Rooney and Beckham? It’s indisputable that he is. You have never had a better it greater player put on the shirt.
This. We can all see that it was a huge mistake bringing the guy back but here we are. I've said it before, he'll be out to prove all sorts of points to all sorts of people this coming season and, contrary to what a lot think, I even think he'll start most games. The guy get's the ball in the net better than anyone else in our team. He'll have much better service this year. Then, hopefully, he'll be gone next year leaving us more time to scout for a proper replacement. I still have too many doubts to really rally behind Rashford or Martial.
Ronaldo will be on fire inside after this recent humiliation. He will have Haaland and Kane in his sights.

Anyway, 1 day left for us to sell him and replace him a player EtH can work with, don't see it happening, and if we just sell him without replacing the position we would be beyond idiotic
That’s a different question, “greatest Manchester United players ever”Best? Charlton? Scholes, Robson, Cantona, Giggs, Rooney and Beckham?
Sorry, your national hero isn't even in Uniteds top 5.
This summer must have bruised his ego a lot.
not a single CL club wants him.
Are you in love with him? Damn. That’s a different question, “greatest Manchester United players ever”
Vs
“Greatest player to ever play vs Manchester United”
In terms of the greatest, best, most talented etc. player to ever play for United all those names are light years and I means light years behind.
Naturally Ronaldo is the greatest ever player to ever put on a United shirt.
You can disagree all you want but one as regarded as one of the 4 GOATS of the game and the others are nowhere near. Are you in love with him? Damn.
Surprised you didn't mentioned best looking or best ass while you were at it.
Anyway, I disagree. Do think that he's the biggest smug portuguese cnut we ever had if that's any consolation.
Surely you don't believe all those players you listed were better than Ronaldo, though? All bigger United legends sure but difficult to argue against Ronaldo being the best footballer we've ever had. Probably Best being the only competition. Are you in love with him? Damn.

For United, yes. In terms of individual skills, not all no.Surely you don't believe all those players you listed were better than Ronaldo, though? All bigger United legends sure but difficult to argue against Ronaldo being the best footballer we've ever had. Probably Best being the only competition.
If this is true, Ole can only blame himself, otherwise, he probably can still execute his plan now.@The Corinthian

Can we settle this debate on how Ronaldo got to United once and for all? Please don't read the Metro or the Mail quoting Athletic, I'm going straight to the source:
The Athletic:
--**--
Although Ronaldo’s style differs from the usual profile of forward favoured by coach Pep Guardiola, City recognised he would guarantee more than 20 goals. They had been pursuing a striker for three transfer windows without success. They also appreciated the potential commercial value of a superstar signing. On Tuesday, August 24, Mendes was reported to have met with City representatives in Paris, although a senior representative at the Etihad insisted on the Tuesday afternoon that City were still deliberating internally as to whether they truly wanted a player their coach appeared to have written off as a target less than a week earlier.
Those deliberations included the stylistic fit of the player and also how Ronaldo’s wages may impact dressing-room harmony. However, by Tuesday night, there was an expectation both from City and representatives of Ronaldo that the player would return to Manchester to play in light blue.
Yet the deal was not concluded. Multiple sources told The Athletic that the future of another City player, Raheem Sterling, became significant. Sterling was offered to Barcelona in the final week of last year’s transfer window, but the player and Barcelona did not actively pursue the transfer. These sources suggest Guardiola felt he might need to move out Sterling to accommodate Ronaldo, which created a lull and an opportunity for United to strike. Sterling was offered to Barcelona again in January — this time, he was prepared to leave on loan — but by then Barcelona, had scouted more intensively and manager Xavi was advised to sign another City player, Ferran Torres, instead.
As the Manchester clubs deliberated in the summer, news had broken publicly that Ronaldo intended to join City and the big beasts of United’s boardroom and dressing room grew alarmed. United’s then manager Solskjaer held a meeting with his assistant Mike Phelan and the pair pushed United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to hijack the deal. Contrary to initial soundings from United, Ronaldo’s former manager Ferguson did not speak directly to the player but he did contact Mendes. Ronaldo’s former team-mates Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra were up until the early hours as they sought to persuade Ronaldo to spurn City and join United. Ferdinand also spoke to Woodward and United’s then-transfer negotiator Matt Judge. Ronaldo’s Portugal international team-mate Fernandes also sent messages.

So it wasn't Woodward acting on his own, it was Ole and Phelan pushing Woodward to hijack the deal.
You're welcome
Erm…… I wonder whether you’ve ever heard of George best? You can disagree all you want but one as regarded as one of the 4 GOATS of the game and the others are nowhere near.
It’s not about being a favorite player or not. The same would be said if Messi played for United.
The most talented player to ever play for United bar none with zero debate is Ronaldo. Any other thought is pure hate as is made obvious by your last sentence.
