I read a rumour today (not in English so i will not post it) that Bayern, despite saying no, is doing research how much money they can get from Ronaldo's name.
He will end in Bayern, mark my words
People mentioned him being rejected by clubs - there's different kinds of rejections. Clearly in Bayern they appreciate his quality, just look at what Kahn had to say about him 2 days ago, and it makes sense to replace Lewa with someone with the same quality up front to score loads of goals and keep team shape/startegy as close as possible to last year. There's something else keeping them on the back foot, and it's not Cristiano's quality, more than likely when they mentioned "philosophy", it's about the wages he gets.
I'm a big fan of the guy but I've been saying for 3-4 years - best thing he could do with his career would be to lower his wages. He doesn't need the money, he could keep going with big clubs more easily with lower wages, and his teams could fetch better players to be alongside him by not weighting so much on the wage sheet.
I also don't want to question him about his own personal thoughts about his legacy - because he's the only one living it, not me - but I look at the last season and I think his impact overall on the English circles has seemed to be quite positive. He's certainly shown he can be up to scratch at his age in the PL, so I think he could have a blowout season in United under a more cohesive, attacking team. I think that would add to his legacy a bit, having produced quality numbers in England at age 37/38, so I'd like for him to stay, I think he could add into his legacy by staying and things working out nicely. But that's my view on his career, and it doesn't matter much I guess.
As much as I like him I gotta hand it in that he's not done things particularly well in this window.
