I mean you might want CL football but go and find out if clubs want you, do it quietly. Then assess the situation.
Every player wants CL, but if no one wants you means you are not good enough.
That only applies to mere mortals elite players. To the mighty Ronaldo, once he made himself available, elite clubs will queue up to let him interview them to see if they are worthy of him
Martial outperforming Ronaldo isn't the point. It is the player who is now able to best serve the interests of EtH in the way he wants the team to play going forward. A fit Martial, who has shown he can be a functional all around CF when consistently played there, has done it in his one full season as the main CF. He has also shown his abilities throughout this preseason as the main CF. That is pretty clear.
Martial's best goal scoring season came as a CF 3 years ago, last time he was fully fit and played as the dedicated CF. He never scored to the abilities of Ronaldo, but all things considered now, it is better for United to let Ronaldo leave and go with Martial and potentially one other new CF, than having to accommodate Ronaldo.
And Nunez and Haaland haven't even played one league game with their new teams. There is no historical evidence with their current teams on how they will function. Meanwhile, Martial playing CF so far in preseason has been akin to his role when he played as the primary center forward. Have you not seen how he's been operating in the past 4 preseason games?

The signs point strongly to Boehly at Chelsea getting excited at the prospect of signing a superstar only for TT to tell him he had no interest when the story began to break in the media.

Arguably the greatest player of all time, who was forged at our club under Sir Alex. Only the 4th United player to win the ballon d'or (first since 1968) and still a key play for us based on last season. Then again our club stopped being about excellence a good few years ago.

Martial has shown he can perform as a CF. You're being stubborn and ignorant. Whether or not he stays fit is the real question. He has motivation and is relied upon by EtH so far.

What's so bad about Napoli? CL, finished 3rd last season only 7 points behind Milan. Those are the minimum requirements for him. United was in the same boat last year, thus he got on. I understand the Italian rivalry, but at this point in time, Ronaldo has no shame. He's desperate to stay at a CL club willing to take him on.

You're wrong; you haven't provided any evidence that remotely says Martial is good enough. The evidence is he has a level of technical abilities and not enough end product. There are many people who can juggle a ball that are far better sticking to TikTok or the circus. Scoring the odd goal in preseason against weaken opposition doesn't demonstrate he's good enough for the league, it illustrates his level to be able to perform which isn't united's main CF.

I would be ok with it under the right terms. Napoli clearly cannot pay his wages but if he is willing to waive the difference between what they can pay him and what his contract with us states then at this point he might as well go. I am definitely on the side of those who think a reluctant Ronaldo is likely to caused more harm than good and so it is better to turn the page however we can make that happen.

Oh, Ronaldo... On one hand I can understand being his age that he wants to play in the Champions League (as long as he keeps going and scores a few he'll be more difficult to catch). He has limited options, if any, all the big clubs have passed and camp Ronaldo seem to be grasping at straws, it looks painfully bad for them. At the same time he's literally walking away from the only fanbase that gives a damn about him (aside from Sporting maybe). For him and his legacy, it would probably be better to stick around and put in the job at United but he doesn't really care, he only cares about records and scoring goals. It's not a bad thing, it's pretty much what has driven him all along, he won't change for anyone. Maybe a breakup is a best thing for everyone involved. Anyway, if he stays, hopefully he won't be too much of a distraction. If he leaves, good luck.
Whatever happens I hope Messi overtakes him in CL and wins the World Cup.
