Yuvraj took this game too seriously. No way MCC is going to chase down this target.

Apparently Strauss has called KP a 'cnut' on the international feed...

Also, Finch is a beast.

"I apologize unreservedly, particularly to Kevin Pietersen. I am mortified and profusely sorry."

No need to apologize for telling the truth Strauss!

You were saying?

Bit of a shame with all those legends playing the majority of the game was spent watching Finch and Yuvi bat, but oh well.

 just saw the scorecard. Rest of the batsmen went as I expected, but Finch seems to have had a game there.

Yeah, he was brutal haha although ROWs bowling was ordinary. Shame Brett Lee broke Warne, reckon Finch would have struggled against him.

Trent Boult's just taken an absolutely ridiculous catch off Pollard. Comparable to the one Pollard himself took in the IPL.

Naman Ojha

Just scored a 250 ball 219 in Brisbane against Australia A with a bowling attack of Cutting, Mitchell Marsh, Faulkner. Didn't see that coming!

So Bangladesh have given Shakib a 6 month ban from all cricket for 'serious attitude problems'. Can't find any more info than that but from my limited knowldge of Bangladeshi cricket it would seem to be a sort of Keano/Saipan moment? Shakib strikes me as someone who desperately wants to win and always plays with enthusiasm and intensity, I can't imagine him being the troublemaker this paints him as.

Kind of a shame for the rest of the world too as he's the only arguably world class Bangladesh have produced to date - most of them can barley claim to be first class standard never mind Test quality.

This is wonderful.

The real measure of the man lay in the fact that even the most senior members of the team showered him with respect. “I want to protect him. Tendulkar must not come out to bat to play a few balls in the fading light against the raging Aussies – he is our best hope to win the game.” Those words, spoken by another great man, Rahul Dravid, to Nayan Mongia during the First Test at Mumbai during the famous 2000-01 series, still ring in my ears.

How fecking good is Dale Steyn?

Best pace bowler of this generation by some margin without doubt. In fact best bowler of this generation by far and one of the best ever. That he does this on unresponsive pitches for pace bowlers too tells about his ability.

He's easily the most entertaining fast bowler I've ever watched. Great sight seeing him in full flow.

Steyn, Wasim and Waqar are the best I've seen but my favourite of all is still Shane Bond. Could watch him run in all day.

How does he compare Allan Donald for those who've watched both of them?

Statistically they're pretty close I think apart from the total wickets column.

Steyn - 73 matches, 371 wickets at 22.72 with 23 5s and 5 10s.
Donald - 72 matches, 330 wickets at 22.25 with 20 5s and 3 10s.

Thier stats are pretty close, but i love to watch Donald for his sheer aggression.

Isn't Steyn pretty dam aggressive himself?

Remember that Nel guy from South Africa. He was one crazy mofo lol

Steyn, good thing about him his, he is more spotive in his approach in middle of his over(not always),at times giving good smile back to the batsmen but you don't see those with Donald. You can clearly see the difference, aggression is much higher with Donald compared to Steyn.

For those who haven't seen it, absolute champion Steyn, miss having loads of great pace bowlers about.

Steyn is a beast.

There's a real lack of quality fast bowlers in world cricket right now. Maybe it's the impact of T20, but you just don't see the aggression and pace from bowlers these days that you had in the past few decades.

Not just pace and aggression but there's a real lack of art and sense of working a batsmen over for a dismissal. To my mind only Johnson, Steyn, Morkel, Harris when he is fit and Anderson when he's on form are the quality bowlers about. Hardly ever see leg cutters, off cutters, yorkers, reverse swing etc. these days and pitches don't help IMO.

When I was growing up at first I just wanted to bowl really fast like Akhtar, Donald etc. but watching Ambrose and Walsh at the twilight of their careers really opened my eyes, line and length and subtle variations are critical more than pure pace and aggression. I really do wonder with bowlers nowadays I mean it took England 5 tests to sort their lines and lengths out. However I don't think there's any better sight in cricket than watching a fast bowler bowling really fast with his tail up and having the batsmen all over the shop (unless it's against your team), unfortunately it's a rare sight now.

The feck is this? Worcestershire Rapids? Is this trying to make Cricket "cool"?
