Anyone watching the 20/20 quarter final between Lancs and Hampshire?

Hampshire got 202/3 and I thought we had no chance. But, after 10 overs Lancs are on 101/1. Game on.

Surprising that Sohail Tanvir conceded 16 off final over. Usually one of the best in death overs.

He was a bit erratic tonight (and received a final warning from the umpire). Most of the bowlers took some punishment though - 403 runs off 40 overs. Hampshire's spinners won it (and Carberry's inning, obviously).

Is there a reason Carberry never gets a look in to the England side? Everytime I've seen him, he's impressed me.

At the time in fairness there was probably better players in front of him, Strauss and Cook with obviously Cook being 1 for the future at the time and invested in heavily. I suppose he could of had an opportunity recently but he's not getting any younger and it seems they're going to do the same with Root as they did with Cook. You could argue he could come in further down the innings but again he's probably not better than the likes of Trott, Pietersen and Bell.

I think he blew his chance when he got cramp on debut and had to retire hurt. The feeling was he hadn't prepared himself properly.

Its a shame, he's probably been consistently the 6th or 7th best batsman in England for years but people like Bairstow, Taylor, Compton, Root and now Ballance are younger/have one great season and push themselves above him.

And reading his cricinfo profile he can't take long haul flights since he had a blood clot on his lungs.

Rohit again scoring two consecutive 50's against the Australia A and South Africa A in South Africa. Raina also impressing.

Says a lot about Kohli's progression that Raina, Rohit, Dhawan, Karthik are all on the A trip proving themselves whereas Kohli is one of the main guys now despite being of the same age.

Why on earth are these guys in an A team? The A team and the senior team are almost similar.

Getting practise on bouncy wickets is good, but why send them out in a ODI series? Save them for the 4 day matches and give the likes of Rahane, Chand a run.

So hot spot inventor says it's not working well with tapes on the bat.. and wants it done away with.

He wants the protective tapes done away with. It's like he's never watched cricket.

Tremlett probably deserves a chance anyway, in all honesty.

Disappointed to see Hamilton-Brown involved with another story not to do with cricket, as well.

Wtf is happening in the SA-A India game. Both teams scoring at over 8 an over. Madness.

Complete waste of an A tour. Wonder if this is CSA sticking it to the BCCI.

What will any player learn on these pitches? Let alone an A team stacked with our senior players purely for the purpose of playing on bouncy wickets.

I've just realised that was a 50 over game! What the feck??

Bouncy??? It can't have been too bouncy otherwise they wouldn't both score 400 runs in 50 overs. You wouldn't want to face Morkel & Steyn on a 'bouncy' pitch.

That's the point he made. We wanted to play on the test pitches and prep our batsmen. Instead, we got flat tracks.

Most pitches in SA have been slowish when England have toured there in recent years. Johannesburg is fast, but that's probably as much to do with the altitude. Btw, Philander is only medium pace and he takes all the wickets!

Wish they were showing this warm-up.

Pujara and Rohit batting.

Rohit 70 not out.

He'll play at #6, perhaps, if he has a good 2 matches here.

Dhawan, Vijay, Pujara, Sachin, Kohli, Rohit would be a very exciting batting line-up. Vijay is not reliable away, however.

I would be tempted to play Jadeja as the lone spinner.

I love how you aren't counting Dhoni in it. He probably won't survive too long on a seaming pitch anyway though.

Delighted that Rohit scored a century. He's been rapidly improving in the last year or so.

Also I liked the look of Unadkat against Zimbabwe(I know, I know).
