Cricket

Chris Gayle has been in terrific form since returning to the Windies side. An immense player.

I saw him at Lord's a few weeks back, he gives it a fair old bash and had the chaps in the ties scuttling out of the way.

Mark Boucher has retired from International cricket due to the injury he suffered against Somerset.

Lacerated eyeball I think it was.

Real shame to have to leave the game through injury. Especially after all he has given the game. Great pro

Real shame about Boucher, very good and hard-working player.

Hopefully he fully recovers from his injury but you have to question why wasn't he wearing a helmet?

As a pure wicketkeeper, I honestly think he was the best in the last twenty years or so. Shame he retired from Cricket. I think he'll get a nice coaching contract at IPL though.

Not to argue or anything but was Gilchrist not a pure wicketkeeper? I genuinely don't know if he was a pure wicket keeper or a Dravid-esque.

Gilchrist beats Boucher hands down if we bring batting into the equation, but for pure talent as a wicket keeper, Boucher would probably have to be No.1.

Superb innings from Styris in the domestic T20 game - smashed 100 n.o. from just 37 balls and it included him getting 38 runs from one over which Sky reckon could be the most runs off a single over in cricket history (the over included 2 no balls).

Andrew Strauss retires. Out of the blue but not completely surprising, his form was completely tailing off. Wonderful captain for England though, let's hope Cook does as well without it affecting his batting.

Third time that Smith has retired the England captain I think.

Been saying this awhile now but I think it's time for Sachin to retire. People here know what a huge fan of his I am. But over the last 10 months or so he's just not the same batsman. His reflexes are slower, he seems to play down the wrong line a lot and he keeps pushing and prodding at deliveries. Painful to watch the great man like this.

Good match this.

Umar Akmal celebrating like a guy who just won his bet.

Did Waqar Younis just say "Pakistan have won both matches convincingly"?

That's not IPL Omar, It's the CLT20.

He's nailed on to be in the Indian team, Sults.
Another batsman from delhi

Balaji is the a fecking joke.

I'm a cricket addict, but I've told myself I'll not watch a ball of this.

So far, I've not been tempted..

It was worth watching it for Unmukt Chand. That six he hit of Kallis was special.

Can't remember having seen him play previously.

I posted after seeing him play a couple of shots through the offside on the up - Very reminiscent of Sachin in his youth. After doing a bit of research found he was captain of the successful under 19 team.

Loved his style.

You should've seen him in U19 WC Final. Played with a swagger which reminded me of Kohli.

He's much better than Kohli was at 19, imo.

Unless you mean the Kohli of today.

Fantastic in the U19 final.. him and Aparajith.

Is Aparajith lining up for CSK?

Yeah kohli of today mate. Not saying he's the better batsman as he's not but plays with the same swagger. No idea over Aparajith.

This CL20 is hilarious. Watched Rudolph hitting 80 odd of 60 balls.

Not watching the match, but 3 overs for 6 runs and a wicket.. like I said earlier, why on earth was Yadav not in our WC squad?

He'd do well in conditions which suits. Today he was helped by the great start given by Pathan, and Morkel. The pitch is also very unpredictable (uneven).

Moises Henriques will soon be in the Australian ODI and T20. Still only 25, so relatively young by Aussie Stands. Currently tearing up Bollinger.
