Zimbabwe win the series! Well done!!
I don't know if anyone is watching the Women's World Cup match between Australia and India.
I'm sat in the stands at Derby and that innings from Kaur, wow!
171*, 5th highest individual score ever in women's cricket.
Australia have just lost a wicket in the 2nd over, could be India's day.
The sad part is that there is no video footage of his innings because BBC was on strike that day
Agreed, it's awful!I can't stand the new Cricinfo design. What have they done?! It looks gash. What is wrong with them?
Was a cracking innings. Rather enjoyed her losing her shit when she reached her century, as well.I don't find women's cricket exciting and do not watch it. That knock by Harmanpreet Kaur has implications far beyond cricket -- let's hope our women win it tomorrow.

You think it would be important for women in India?
I'd hope so. I've been close to a couple of women who grew up in India and even though they lived a more urban lifestyle they felt hugely restricted. One massive cricket fan who was banned from playing when she got to about ten and subsequently decided she supported England as she resented her country so.Absolutely. While some of the major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Banglore have modernized, they represent a very small fraction of the Indian population in terms of mindset. 99%+ of India would never send their girl child to partake in sports. There is a lot of restrictions on girl children when growing up - get home by 5pm, don't go out to the movies alone - and that sort of thing. Pockets of modern cities have moved along, but the women's team's accomplishment in getting it this far and possibly beyond is going to make parents let their girls go out and participate. The impact of this is not restricted to sport - it changes things beyond that. It won't happen instantly, but these are the building blocks of future progress. The next in a line of achievements by the likes of Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, etc.
All on Nat Sciver now.
Yeah, I think that should be competitive. Not sure what a good score is here tbh, this pitch doesn't look up to much which is a shame. I think if England can squeak to 220 they may have a good score.
Just about got enough that Raj and Kaur will need to perform, to get these, I think.
Yeah, she's very much in the 'unknown quantity' dynamic.Saw Smrithi Mandhana play in the first game and she looked a player. Hasn't got any runs since then, though.
Game completely in the balance.

Yup - that 229 looks very far.
England bowling well.
I would imagine the response to that is literally just repeating your first three words.@zing
Of course cricket >> other sports, but Saina Nehwal has (had?) been playing at a genuinely world-class level (and she's from Haryana!) but that doesn't seem to have changed much for ordinary women. Maybe more women are playing badminton but I don't think it's gone beyond that.
