Well he is only 20 odd, had a terrific winter in Australia where he took a bucket load of wickets in Grade Cricket under the tutelage of Stuart MacGill and ended up playing for NSW (first foreign player since Imran Khan apparently

Bairstow did alright against Pakistan plus they have a much better attack than whatever SA are serving up right now.
I'd also back England to chase down almost any score these days in ODI or T20.
Yeah, this team itself is shite.
The key issue is they have to find a way to identify and nurture talent in the townships and not rely on private schools alone to provide players.
When the likes of AB, Faf and Amla retire I can't help but worry that South African cricket might go into terminal decline. I'm not sure there's a host of players beyond Quinton De Kock and Rabada who will win matches on the international stage.

That would be an interesting point. Problem will be though that for many cricketers it might not be monetarily beneficial to play for Ireland over a county side.
Wonder if Eoin Morgan will be tempted to swap back too seeing as he swapped to play Test Cricket in the first place.
