Strong finish from Pakistan, lower order getting us to a decent total. Will be a tougher chase for the Windies than it should've been.

On a side note, met Wahab & Waqar recently on my way to Pakistan (just before the PSL final). Decent lads & I was delighted to meet Waqar. Kamran acted like dick though (not surprised).

Nasty clash leaving Shahzad injured & having to leave in an ambulance. Hope it's just precautionary & he's ok.

Shadab looks like a quality spinner, ripped through West Indies lineup again. 4/14 in his 4 overs.
But then again, its West Indies who are historically poor against spin.

Very impressive & intelligent performance. Can certainly spin in & the windies can't pick him at the moment.

19 needed off 12 balls. Windies should see this home...

Pakistan win!! Brilliant come back from Hassan in the final over. Good stuff from the bowlers.

Excellent game, could've gone either way at the end.

Hassan Ali has a brain of the size of a pea in his head, he just runs in and bowls. First two balls of final over: a half volley on leg stump and a full toss, both went for boundaries, followed by a wide down the leg. It would have been all over against a better team. I hate his celebration by the way.

Anyway, all is well that ends well. I feel sorry for West Indies.

Wouldn't mind a revamp of the run out law. If any part of you has been grounded in the crease and you're in the crease when the stumps are broken then you shouldn't be given out.

No part was grounded at the time ball hit the stumps, If it is grounded once and then left the ground, rules say you are out.

Edit: If either of his foot landed in the crease and then by the time ball has hit the stump, his feet was in the air, then he would have been not out. Problem was that he grounded his bad and then lost it because of a collision while none of his feet ever touched inside the crease.

Reminds me of the infamous Sachin Tendulkar run out at Eden Garden in 1999 against Pakistan. What a match that was, those two Shoaib Akhtar deliveries to Dravid and Tendulkar !

I know the laws. I'm not questioning the decision under the current law. I'm saying the run out law needs a revamp.

Really? I thought his slower cutters was the smart way to go. He went for the Yorker first two balls, missed his lengths and adjusted, something Stokes should have done in the T20 final.

Narine was swinging and he couldn't read his slower cutters, smart bowling and than final ball went full outside off which was what I was hoping he would do.

So Ashwin, Vijay and Rahul all out of IPL all tournament due to injuries. Kohli, Jadeja and Umesh to miss first few weeks.

How the hell did we had so many players injured? What kind of scheduling was that.

Ashwin has been playing with injury since 5th test against Eng at Chennai (sports hernia injury apparently). Rahul's been playing with injury throughout the Aus series - he spoke about it after the final test match when asked how difficult it was to score 6 50s in 7 innings. He's now going to London for surgery. I think Vijay sat out of B'lore test with an injury but was rushed back as Mukund failed and there was no other reliable opener.

Kohli was injured while fielding in Ranchi while Jadeja and Umesh were probably rested for IPL as they played throughout the home season (Jadeja - 13 tests, Umesh - 12 tests I think). Ashwin and Jadeja played Eng ODIs as well while Umesh played ODIs vs NZ.

13 tests with a couple of ODI series (5 vs NZ, 3 vs Eng) and T20s (3 vs Eng) thrown in were probably too many for the player workload. Maybe they'll schedule subsequent home seasons with 7-8 tests in total.

92/2 after 12 overs and finished at 137/8, very disappointing. The lack of batting talent in Pakistan is very concerning.

Great knock from Lewis. Some beautiful strikes. Unlucky not to see it through.

2-1 Pak lead in the series with 1 to play.

Decent bowling kept them to a chaseable score. Should win this if we bat sensibly.

Youngsters once again impressed.

Pollard

This should really be his last every international series, such a waste of space in the ground.

You think Wahab should have been rested ?

One of him/Tanvir had to play & given Tanvir's last over yesterday, not surprising he wasn't chosen today.

Wouldn't surprise me if he's done after the summer. Still capable of a great spell but too expensive/inconsistent for my liking.

Comfortable win. Batted sensibly, although Babar should probably have seen the chase through.

Good series win & some impressive performances from the youngsters. Will be interesting how they do in the ODIs, I feel the Windies batting can do better than what it's shown in the T20s.

Champions Trophy tickets are available again for those interested. Just picked some up for India vs SA at The Oval.

Pakistan's batting is pathetic. Any other team would have scored 400 against these pub players.

Younis announcing he will retire after the Test series in the Windies. A fabulous player on his day. Misbah also going - will be a big job to replace 2 gaps in our batting. Will also miss Misbah's calming influence on the side.

Our ODI batting is about 15 years behind everyone else. Saw the last part of WI chase, some fantastic shots by Muhammad, although the Pak seamers left a lot to be desired.

Excellent review. Good start from the bowlers.

Edit: poor review that time. Clearly hit outside the line.

Good win in the end, although the inability to kill the game earlier is a bit concerning. Hasan & Shadab impressive. Babar loves batting against the Windies.

Shadab can really spin it both ways! Really excited to see how he develops.

5 centuries in last 10 ODIs for Babar. Stop tinkering with his position, he looks so calm and composed at 3.

Excellent from Malik! 6 to get his century, win the game & the series. Good performance by him & Hafeez today.

Good performances in the series but no chance we come close to winning the Champions Trophy. Our ODI style is 10-15 years in the past & we lack the really big hitters who perform consistently under pressure. Also I think our fast bowling attack is weak & against a better side, they'll be hit around.

Looking forward to the Test matches. Wonder if we'll select Shadab & go with the 2 spinners.

Pakistan with a very good start to the Test series. Amir enjoying himself so far.
