41-4. If they play for another half an hour (which they shouldn't because of the bad light), this joke of a performance can end today. Shocking, abysmal, rubbish from Pakistan.

Rain saves Pakistan...

They were mentally shot after that historic 8th wicket partnership, and were never going to put up much of a fight, but this is a complete shambles.

Scoring 169 coming in at 9 must be some kind of test record?

Probably, Jason Gillespie scored a double century as a nightwatchman, albeit against Bangladesh.

The partnership between Trott and Broad itself is a record for the eight wicket partnership.

First T-20 between Pak and England just started, eng won the toss and will bowl first. Interesting they've gone with Kieswetter and Davies at the top of the order with Davies assuming control of the gloves, also Sidebottom in for Anderson and Bresnan returns to the team. Would've liked to see Ajmal Shahzad play, the fact he's not played any matches thus far in the Pak series probably means he won't be chosen for the Ashes, shame really as he's a more threatening bowler than Bresnan and although he's not as good with the bat, you need players who take wickets and I don't think Bresnan can do that.

As for Pak, I'm hoping Afridi's on form and can hit some big shots, (he'll either hit a boundary first ball/over or get out)

Yousuf gone, Swann takes a wicket in his first over (again). Pak 50-2 after 6.5

Yeh, Swann should just bowl one over spells

EDIT
This is where England did so well, Swann and Yardy came on and were able to bowl their four overs each quite economically, and without getting hit out of the attack

56-3. Great bowling by Swann, a beauty for the stumping.

Edit: Spinners have put England in control, big spin for both Yardy and Swann.

Fawad has no idea how to play Swann, only a matter of time before he's out. Beautiful bowling by the spinners, but poor batting as well. 63-3 after 11.

They really need to up the scoring, I don't think 140 will be enough and that's 10/over

Pakistan essentially need to get Fawad Alam out, you've got Razzaq and Afridi just sitting there waiting at the moment.

Edit. And now he's gone and it's time for Afridi.

Not sure about that, Ajmal will wreak havoc on this pitch and you suspect Afridi will chip in as well. England also needed to get off to a great start which hasn't happened now thanks to Akhtar wicket taking maiden.

Be very interesting for sure. See how Davies and Bopara do to start off.

Eng 57-4 after 9 overs. Morgan's the key wicket for Pak, if he gets going England should win

Edit: 62-5, Wright gone, bowled by Afridi.

England win comfortably. Good bowling first up, especially the spinners and very good batting between Yardy and Morgan made it easy for England. I knew Morgan would be the key wicket, and it proved as he was dropped by Akhtar early in his innings (easiest catch in the world, should I be suspicious?)

Next game on Tuesday...

Yeah Akhtar dropping Morgan turned it round and it became a procession in the end.

Bresnan's impressed me these 2 games, bowled economically and taken a few wickets. 80-7 off 17 overs.

It's just a pleasure to Watch Sachin bat like this, strike rate of over 160 and still I haven't seen him play one rash shot, all of his boundaries have been pure cricketing shots.

EDIT: feck, Just as I wrote this, next ball he gets bowled :(

My dad mentioned that Majeed or Hameed or whoever said that the first two ODIs were fixed to lose. A contract's a contract, getting caught half way through that contract is no excuse for changing the plan.

Nice of Pakistan to pretend they got to within 30 runs of the target tonight. Haha, its so obvious I've been predicting Pakistan's win/lose patterns since Akram/Younis captaincy days!

I'm starting to hate Strauss over his inability to 'walk' when he's clearly edged/gloved it. Today's the 3rd time in the Pak series where he knows he's out but has failed to be a good sportsman and walk. I know the rule is you should wait for the umpire to give you out, so he's well within his right to stand and wait, but it's not right some people walk and some don't.

Pak attack lacks any real threat without Aamer, although Gul's bowled better today. Eng in cruise control now, 143-1 after 26 overs.

Just run out Trott mind, but still expect England to win it, Morgan probably be there at the end and do his usual thing

Pak take the big wicket of Morgan, 35 runs from 26 balls with 5 wkts left to win...

Gul just threw it away with 2 poor poor balls.

I swear I heard Love United Hate Glazer on my stream

Eng win a great game. Pak have played well today, but will be gutted they couldn't defend a big total, and in all honesty they should have made 10-15 more runs in their innings. England played very well, led by Trott and Strauss (even though he should've been out when he was in his 40's)

Collingwood again didn't get many runs with the bat, if KP was under pressure, Colly should be as well.

Once Pak got to 294, was tempted to pop into Ladbrokes and put a tenner on England winning. Got sidetracked. :(

Wonder if betting shops even take money on Pak losing?
