Morgan gone to one from Ajmal. Pak on top, either play brilliantly or terribly, at the moment we're brilliant.

Morgan out now, I'm guessing something is happening, can't just be poor bowling, is it reversing or turning now?

Didn't see Pietersen's dismissal, but Trott's was a terrible shot, Collingwood was drawn into playing the shot so was decent bowling and the ball to Morgan didn't turn much, more to do with the England players being unable to read Ajmal's deliveries.

That said, I think the ball has started to turn the past hour and Swann will get more turn from it than Ajmal.

I personally think England have been awful against Pakistan. Their inept batting performances have only been masked by Pakistans woeful fielding.

That's a fair point. I think both teams have generally struggled at batting, and although England have posted fairly big scores and a few of their players have made centuries, they would have posted lower totals if Pakistan took the catches, especially at Edgbaston.

I'd still like to see Pakistan bring back Younis. Great player, not playing because of non-cricket reasons and he would slot in at number 3 with one of Hameed/Butt/Farhat dropped.

Just as I type this, a beauty from Aamer gets Prior. Eng in trouble...

Swann bowled by Ajmal. Eng now 145-9

Umpires taking the players off. Earlier, the sky commentators were saying they can't understand why the umpires were looking at the light as it was blue skies above.

Some great bowling from Ajmal and Aamer and good fielding as well, England on the brink.

Good to see that both teams donated a % of their match fees to aid the flood relief effort in Pakistan, nice gesture.

Looking ahead to the final test at Lords, I don't think we'll see either team make any changes. I think Haider's out for the series, so Kamran keeps his place and Riaz deserves to keep his place ahead of Gul.

As for England, it's their final test ahead of the Ashes and with Cook playing beautifully in the 2nd innings, he stays in the team. I'd like to see them give Ajmal Shahzad a try against Pakistan, with Anderson rested. Swann, Finn, Broad and Anderson will be the bowling attack come the first Ashes test, but Shahzad might be a useful weapon in Australia, and I for one would like to see him play another Test match.

Can see Pakistan winning the final test .... just the law of statistics say that their batting line up is due a good innings!! If they can bat first and get 400+ then England will be in a very difficult position.

As for planning for the Ashes .... well this Pakistan bowling attack is far superior than anything the Aussies will throw up so playing the best team and going for a win is the best preparation ... anything less will back fire.

Sehwag just hit a 93 Ball 110 on a pitch which was great for bowlers and none of other batsman player comfortably.

India 223 All Out(Despite Sehwag's century)
NZ 88/9

Amazing player

Was a hilarious match.

At a point when India's score was 170, Sehwag had scored 110 of those runs

These ODI's are on the other extreme of what the tests were earlier.

No one could bowl on the test wickets, no one can bat on these. (except the flat track bully ofcourse)

England lost 2 wickets already.... 39-3. It's a pity this one's not being played at Old Trafford, where the sun is shining!

I think its a bit of both. The conditions are good for bowling but Amir is using it to incredible effect. Tremendous seam bowling. He is a great bowler for 18 years of age.

How the pakistani selectors will lament their decision to leave out senior batsmen for the 1st two test matches. With their bowling attack on song, no way would they be 2-1 down at this point in the series.

True. Unfortunately, the selectors are more concerned with politics than winning cricket games, why Younis is still not recalled is a petty decision.

Amir's been fantastic again. He's been the most consistent performer with ball and with his batting (shown a lot of heart/fight each time the top order fails). Would be a fantastic feat for him to get on the Lords honour board at such a young age.

Not sure about that. If you look at the winning margins in those games, it would have taken a very large swing for Pakistan to have won, or even drawn, either game. But all credit to Pakistan for the way they've hit back in the series in the last game and this one.

England tail wagging again, 157-7, Trott's played well.

Trott gets his century, really well played even if he takes 5 minutes to get ready for each delivery. A good recovery by England, 229-7.

Broad gets his century and is up on the Lords Honour Board. Played well, had a bit of luck with balls flying past the edge, but everyone needs a bit of luck and he deserved it. Eng on top now, 290-7.

Don't understand why Aamer got taken out of the attack whilst Broad was on 98. Shit captaincy from Butt.

Amir a quality bowler, got to give credit to Trott and Broad. I hear a lot of people blaming Butt what decisions did he make that were bad.

Yeah I overstated, I meant the margin of defeats wouldn't have been so pronounced.

Either way, Broad and Trott really have taken the wind of Pakistani sails. Pitch easing up, conditions becoming batting friendly or not...the fact remains this is a 200+ run partnership between a bowling all rounder and a 1 down batsmen.

It would have been much easier for Broad to swing away like a madman, make a quick 20-30 runs, and get out. Instead, it was calm, poised, measured batting.

Pakistan right on top now, 14-3.

Pakistan are a very poor team right now.

The bowling is very good, the fielding is usually poor but can be decent sometimes, but the batting has been consistently shit the past 12-18 months.

The middle order is not good enough. Four years back the middle-order was comprised of Younis, Inzamam & Yousuf, three very experienced and very good batters; 3 batters who the opposition would fear. Now it's Butt, Ali & Yousuf; if you are the opposition you know if Yousuf goes then the batting will usually collapse.

57-5 now, the chuckle brothers at the crease.

Edit: 57-6. Big-mouth Umar Akmal gone now.

74 all out. England should enforce the follow on and finish this today.
